The 14 Ninjas are all related to a white mini van from Vermont. This mini van broke down in Portland, and the town hasn't been the same since. Portland loves seventies punk. 14 Ninjas play seventies punk, and a little Neal Diamond to boot. Portland loves Neal Diamond, mullets and power trios. 14 Ninjas are very fortunate to enjoy such adulation, but sadly the white mini van has since gone back to Vermont, while the Ninjas remain in combat of enhanced patrols in Portland.WILLAMETTE WEEK- "[GARAGE ROCK] Though ninjas are traditionally stealthy, when you've got 14 of 'em the attack is not so covert. It's pretty much a fistful of surfy, grungy punk rock that comes barreling into a room more like 14 linebackers.
