“These dudes are good, and they know it.” – Pitchfork.com
“Rocked like a European White Stripes with less vagina.”- Impose magazine

Lo-fi continues to blow up, from Chillwave hotties Neon Indian and Teengirl Fantasy, or, on the Garage Rock side, Thee Oh Sees, Vivian Girls and often-controversial Wavves. At the lead of this sound is the wild, recently-arrested*, garage pair of King Khan & BBQ Show. Khan, who rocked the Coachella 2010 festival, was called by Pitchfork “a stupendously stylish vocalist, able to ape everybody from the Big Bopper to Otis Redding without losing a move”, honorific references of the band’s unique blend of 1960's Doo-Wop with Garage punk. A sound forged when the KK & BBQ Show met up in Germany, and started playing in an old Nazi Bunker beneath the abandoned factory Khan lived in. KK & BBQ are embarking on a tour of Asia that will crash through Daegu, Busan and Seoul in the midst of several other nations.

*King Khan & BBQ Show missed a few shows when they were arrested for allegedly possessing psychedelic drugs and their manager was driving without a license.

Bio:

This is what John Remond of "The Korea Times' had say about the band... "Jet Echo, a bass and drum duo. Al (bass) and Ripley (drums) have been performing on the local and recently Japanese live circuit for a few years. Technically, a band Jet Echo are more of a sonic soundscape performance. If Syd Barrett had been born 30 years later I imagine that this is the kind of band he would have formed. Ripley's multi layered drum rhythms (think very early Floyd songs like the climax to" Set The controls For The Heart of The Sun ") and Al's distorted bass guitar provide a menacing sonic backdrop for some highly textured vocals" (February 27, 2007 , The Korea Times)
