The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision.

Heroes
Heroes?? To me heroes were TV superheroes (The Bionic Woman or Wonder Woman). In my mind it never went beyond that. I did have people I admired or looked up to growing up like (chronological):
My Great-Grandmother (She was one of the nicest people I have ever met).
Marilyn Monroe (I have always felt she was seriously underrated. Watch Don’t Bother to Knock and tell me I’m wrong.)
Bette Davis (She was a woman in the male-run world of Hollywood, yet she was outspoken and direct, a perfectionist who would fight for what she believed in. On her tombstone is written: "She did it the hard way".)
Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis (her appreciation for art, music, and culture marked a new chapter in American history. And what a chapter, the pill box hat, the sunglasses and Oleg Cassini the world will never be the same.
Deborah Harry (Blondie was on the first record I ever bought which was K-Tel’s High
Energy: thus began a life-long obsession with Deborah Harry/Blondie
Xaviera Hollander (I was exposed to The Happy Hooker when I was in 7th grade and it
birthed a life-long fascination with sexual politics. She changed my life.)
Lady Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales (It was refreshing to see her blur the idea of
what a princess should do and not do. She was very much her own person, to the chagrin of the royals. And yes, I did get up before dawn to watch the royal wedding).
Richard Simmons (The Richard Simmons Show was educational and the funniest
thing I had ever seen. He did all these characters. The nun was the best.)
Divine (I first heard about Divine when she was cast in Lust in the Dust. I was devastated when he died)
Andy Warhol (Even a boy from Maine knew who he was in the ‘80s)
Liza Minnelli (Cabaret was amazing, the Annie Leibovitz Vanity Fair cover photos of her
were amazing, Results was amazing, Liza in concert was amazing)
Tammy Faye Bakker (She was one of the first religious figures in the public eye to embrace the gay community and went so far as to welcome AIDS sufferers as guests on PTL. Author, singer, talk show host, etc... "We're all just made of the same old dirt,")
Siouxsie Sioux (I used to watch the video for Spellbound on MTV a lot before I would go
to school. I loved the lyrics, her voice and her makeup.)
Boy George (you’ve gotta love him for saying, “Thanks America. You’ve got style and
taste and know a good drag queen when it sees one” when Culture Club accepted their Grammy in 1984)
Harvey Milk (A group of us from the Eugene, Oregon youth group went to see The Times of Harvey Milk and none of us was ever the same again. He was my first real hero.)
Grace Jones (Slave to the Rhythm changed my life)
John Waters (With films that pushed hard at the boundaries of what is acceptable film
and movie censorship and glorified bad taste.)
Pete Burns (He was androgynous, New Wave and lead singer for a great band who
toyed with our idea of gender.)
Harvey Fierstein (Torch Song Trilogy pretty much said what all gay and lesbian people
wanted to say. The play, book and film changed the landscape).
Pedro Almodovar (With films about drug addicts, prostitutes, transsexuals, drag queens, nuns and odd fetishes what’s not to love?)
Kate Bornstein (Transgender pioneer, First transsexual to have a non-autobiographical
book published: Gender Outlaw: On Men, Women, and the Rest of Us and an all-around wonderful person.)
C. Jacob Hale (Associate Professor, Department of Philosophy, California State
University, Northridge. Female-to-male transsexual. Author of "Tracing a Ghostly
Memory in My Throat: Reflections on FTM Feminist Voice and Agency" from Men Doing
Feminism, etc. "I see my community and academic work as intertwined, each
informing and enriching the other.")
Jim (My husband is one of the nicest people I have ever met).

About me: If you don’t have anything to say….don’t bother.
Who I'd like to meet: Meeting people you admire or look up to for some reason can be weird. What if it turns out the person is totally rude, disrespectful and mean (has not happened to me but I have heard some horror stories). That being said, I'd love to have lunch with:
Harvey Fierstein (Author: The Sissy Duckling, Playwright Torch Song Trilogy, Safe Sex, La Cage aux Folles. Film Actor: Torch Song Trilogy, Tidy Endings, Mrs. Doubtfire, Independence Day, Death To Smoochie, Stage Actor: Torch Song Trilogy, Hairspray, Fiddler On The Roof Murder, TV Murder, She Wrote, Daddy’s Girls, Comedian: This Is Not Going To Be Pretty)
Patricia Campbell Hearst (is an American newspaper heiress, socialite, author of Every Secret Thing and actress, in five John Waters films among others. She is the granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst and was the victim of a 1974 political kidnapping, but soon afterwards became an underground revolutionary 'terrorist' herself - she robbed a bank and spent time in prison (although she later received a presidential pardon).)
Traci Elizabeth Lords (TV and Film Actress Melrose Place, Profiler, Will & Grace, Serial Mom, Blade, Frost Bite, Etc., Singer: 1000 Fires and Author: Underneath It All. "If you're sexy, everybody will love you. That's what I wanted -- for everybody to love me." -Traci Lords, on her tainted past. Check out the web page @ http://www.tracilords.com/
Holly Woodlawn (Inspiration behind Lou Reed Walk On The Wild), Warhol Superstar of Trash and Woman In Revolt, Author of My Low Life In High Heels. Check out her web page @ http://www.hollywoodlawn.com).
Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie (From the BBC's How Clean Is Your House? They're still snooping around some of the most horrifyingly filthy homes imaginable, exposing the deepest and dirtiest corners. Then when they've identified all the hidden horrors, we'll meet the owners to find out how the filth has got so out of hand.)
Shirley Manson (lead singer of Garbage, actress in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Queen of the Universe.)
Thanks Jhawn....but damn...did you have to send in the clowns. You know I am frightened of clowns. And ...damn....is that a rectal thermomater? "It's just my hand, really, no need to take my tempature." Ahhhhhhhh.......!
