About me:
I'm a Cancer with a Gemini Moon and Scorpio Ascendant.
I was born in New Jersey, have lived in Florida (Orlando, Miami Beach, Daytona, Tallahassee); Atlanta, GA; New Orleans; Portland, OR; and San Francisco.
I started pencil drawing at the age of four, and more recently I occasionally paint when inspired. Also pretty much been obsessed with music as far back as I can remember. Have dabbled with playing guitar and bass. I probably should have gone to some School of the Arts. I have always loved to read, and to write.
I've always been a dreamer, always been highly sensitive to my surroundings, and sometimes I'm moody. I'm aware of subtle connections, moments of synchronicity.
I refuse to settle for less than what I want, once I figure out what it is that I want. (Which sometimes makes me a bit picky). I believe that age is just a measure of the distance of the number of trips I've made around the sun on this earth.
I'm a loyal friend. I tend to have a few deep friendships rather than lots of shallow ones, though I love to socialize. I'm partner-oriented: I'd much rather do something with another person than on my own. Sharing an experience makes it so much better. On the other hand, I can be pretty independent, and I do need my solitude now and then.
Repetition and routine are my definitions of hell. I tend to do many things at the same time and don't necessarily finish any of them. My interests range all over the place so it's hard to focus on one thing for fear of having to give up another. I hate making decisions. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I want to be when I grow up (if that ever happens!). I've held all sorts of interesting jobs, from printing and graphic design, and desktop publishing, to television studio work, to radio station promotion, from painting and mural art, to merchandise sales on tour, to waiting tables...and a lot of other odd stuff in between. I enjoy learning new things, and feel it's important to know something about a lot of subjects - though I suppose at this point it would be to my benefit to become an expert at something!
I wish I had a better sense of humor, though my friends say my sense of humor is fine.
I wish I were better at being organized.
I wish I knew more about the inner workings of computers.
I love the idea of travel, of exploring the world, and though I haven't done nearly enough yet, I hope it becomes a big part of my future.
I love cats, the color violet in all its tints and shades, and strawberries dipped in dark chocolate.
I think shiny black things are sexy.
Okay. I think I'm done for now.
