Hi, There've been lots of changes going on, and it took awhile for things to clarify.
To put it simply:
The My Scarlet Life that once was is no more
. . . and Humpty Dumpty can't put MSL back together again.
We all want to sincerely thank you for your support. We couldn't have done
it without you. You made us very happy by enjoying our music, by coming to see
us live, and by taking our music home with you. We are grateful to you for that.
But things do change, and often for the better . . .
My Scarlet Life has split into new bands (JUTE, LOTUS, KARMA SUTRA, and PRESTON
KLIK'S RITUAL),
with new directions and opportunities for us --the muscians and creators-- and
for you too.
We will ALL get more interesting new music to listen to from each of the new
exciting projects underway!
Hello everyone!
This is Julie Axis, formerly of My Scarlet Life. Some of you may already know
that I have started a new band called Jute. The current members are: myself,
singing and writing lyrics, Joe Axis playing guitar, bass and some keyboards,
and Robb Workman handling the electronic programming as well as guitar and keyboards.
Thanks for your patience and for your support of my former band My Scarlet
Life. I feel confident that you will love my new band just as much.

We have many tasks underway; writting, recording, and creating a live show that

Preston Klik is involved in a few things: Karma Sutra and Preston Klik's Ritual.
All are recording and playing live shows, so check 'em out!
Karma Sutra is based around Mona Jethmalani's Indian voice. I've written specific
material for her to sing to, and she's written great lyrics and melodies.
Karma Sutra is droney / mystical / sensuous, and quite an exciting project.
Imagine beautiful Indian vocals with Hindi and English lyrics, and mellow music
from a mix of sitars and tablas, trip-hop and electronica. Hindustani elements
mix with a swirl of dark mystical beats. Her voice becomes breathtaking over
the slow erotic pulses. Amy Spina of MSL played on the first cd and still plays
some shows with us.
Preston Klik's Ritual (PKR) : a "live-tronic" act, duo-to-sextet of groove-oriented world-lounge-dance music performed by Preston Klik and live musicians. PKR combines electronic beats and live instruments to create a musical experience rarely seen or heard in today's music.
