About me:
..

QuitMeter Counter courtesy of ..www.quitmeter.com.
Well. I'm a caver. I've been caving for more than 10 years, mostly in Indiana and Kentucky. I love the smell and feel of a cave ... It's relaxing and exhilerating all at the same time. I have been caving with many people and in many places, but my favorite trips are restoration trips. I like to camp as well. On many of our caving trips we stay for the weekend and pitch a tent and start a fire. Great times are to be had sitting around a campfire with a guitar and a beer, worn out from a days caving.
In my above ground life I am a carpenter. I like to build houses as well as doing remodeling projects. I worked for various companies when I was younger and then 8 years for Shepler Construction before venturing out on my own in 2004. So far I have been as busy as I can stand to be.
I enjoy my guitar. I have played music since I was about 15. In the early 90's I played bass in a band called the Road with Brian Layman, Rian Anderson and George Ebey. We recorded and distributed and independent CD. I started playing more guitar a few years ago when I met my wife, Kelly. Together we form the base of the MuDHippieS, an extremely diverse group of cavers and musicians. We have some original music and play a lot of Marcy Playground and Jack Johnson songs among others. You may find us playing at a bar, coffee shop or campfire near you.
I have four great kids and a spectacular wife ... what more does one need?
So, anyway ... I have been playing at a few of the bars around Logansport and Winamac with a cat named Scott Darda. He has a pretty sick new CD out - you can buy it at Pulse Music or come to a show. I have been playing shows at the Bungalow and at Chevi's lately. I came up with a new instrument ... it's a kind of cross between a washtub bass and a whamola (ever heard one of those?) I haven't really figured out all the ways it can be played yet, but it's pretty fun.
The other day I realized that I am a professional eater. It's true. A professional. I'm really good at eating and I like it too. I came to this realization as I was eating a plateful of crawdads in this green pepper sauce with rice ... best plate of food I ever ate. It was a sort of epiphany and life will never be the same again. I am now on a quest to consume as much of the best food around as I possibly can. I think thats how I lost my girlish figure.
I play a lot of cards. All kinds of games really. Euchre, 31, poker, rummy, spades, no peek, nertz, parchisi and the like. Dice games are fun. I have one crazy game that I recieved on accident where you roll pigs ... crazy fun. We also have a deck of freaked out cards that we made. It's kind of an evolving game called 10,000 blank white cards where you make new cards every time you play.
I suppose I'm off now to feed some sort of addiction. I can't believe you read this far. Peace, love, and good happiness stuff.
