The only thing that I know for sure in this world is me. And, with all the back and forth on politics and this election, just to make things clear - these are the things that I know about me.
* I will not vote for anyone, ever, who does not support a woman's right to choose. Never. Ever. Period. I believe strongly in seperation of Church & State, and I personally consider abortion to be a personal, moral, if even religious issue. I believe the government has no say over what I choose to do with my body. It is between the woman and her private conscience, and whatever affects her private conscience, but it is her choice.
* I will not vote for someone who believes that religion should be taught in schools (creationism). Again - seperation of Church & State. It is a family's decision, or an individual decision but it is not for the school systems to teach.
* I will not vote for someone who does not believe in evolution. One word: FOSSILS. That's pretty much it there. It's nonsensical.
* I will not vote for someone who has continuously rejected attempts at increasing education funding. The USA has fallen tragically behind other nations in technology, sciences, and skill sets. And what's more tragic is we're so blinded by the American Flag in front of our eyes (we're the best! we're 1!) that we refuse to see that. Our children need to be educated, they need to be a priority in order in ensure our country's economic status in this world. With what we're doing to the planet, they will need an education if they have any hope of repairing what we will have left them.
* I abolutely refuse to vote for anyone who thinks that global warming is not the primary concern for us all. Let alone one who is ignorant enough to say that they're "not convinced that humans are the cause". It is a fact - it is indisputable. Not a single scientist has ever argued the fact that our planet is facing imminent danger. Not ONE. The only debate over global warming seems to occur in the press, in THIS country only, where WE actually cause 30% of the ENTIRE PLANET's promblem every day. Tsunami's and Hurricanes like Katrina will continue, and worsen each year until either we do something to reverse the problem, or millions are killed tragically due to global events. Again - this information is INDISPUTABLE by science. It's not a political opinion - it's the future of our planet. And those of you with children - you should care the most. To continue to do nothing - or even to support those in power, who have the ability to act, but yet don't - it is irresponsible, it is inexcuseable. It is immoral.
* I will not vote for anyone who does not believe in funding sex education. Ever. We (the US) have the highest rate of teen pregnancy in Western Civilization. That's absurd. Here in the US.
* I will not vote for someone because of race, religion, sex. I'm insulted that anyone would think so little of me as a woman as to think I will actually abandon my core beliefs because someone with a uterus is supposed to "be like me". It disgusts and sickens me how many women have proven to be mindless wandering sheep with such little self identity that they would sell themselves so short as to vote for a woman that does not support woman's rights, and a man that has never - EVER - (it's a fact, look it up!) voted for woman's rights. I don't want a hockey mom - I don't want a WalMart customer - I want someone who represents my beliefs and who has the presence of mind to lead. In other words, ideally, someone who may have been to Washington before. And not on a Class Trip as a chaperone.
In short, I will not vote for someone who believes in things that I don't believe in, and does not believe in things I do. Period. Sometimes, especially in politics, you may not find your ideal. But this I know for sure, I stand strong on these things that matter to me. I have integrity about my beliefs. And I will vote for what I stand for. And there may likely be things that are wrapped in that package that I may not be thrilled with. But there are core issues that affect the sole of me and who I am, those I will stand firmly by. What I will always stand for is integrity. I will not be fooled into rhetoric and promises. I will vote based on principles and ideologies that are within me. You should do the same.

Wow very impressive. And it is so nice to hear someone else say the things I've been thinking and saying for MONTHS now. It amazes me what some people will fall for all in the name of "God". I am all for religious beliefs, but they definitely should be separate from the government.
Again, great writing!
