I am NOT a fan of horror flicks. It might sound childish, but my favorite movie of all time is the Wizard of Oz. Guess I just like the idea of being somewhere over the rainbow where troubles melt like lemondrops.Television
I mostly only watch sitcom reruns and reality TV. I also like a few dramas, but I rarely have time to keep up with them. Some of my favorite shows are Big Brother, American Idol, ANTM, Top Design, Top Chef, Survivor, House Hunters, any makeover shows or home makeover shows, some cooking shows, The Office, The Cosby Show, Golden Girls, House of Payne, The George Lopez Show, Still Standing, The Jeffersons, Good Times, Martin, The Nanny, Scooby Doo, The Flintstones, Fresh Prince, Law and Order SVU, Third Watch, CSI, King of Queens, and Everybody Loves Raymond.Books
For inspiration - the Bible. For entertainment - some of my favorite books of all time are To Kill a Mockingbird, A Time to Kill, anything by Dean Koontz, Angela's Ashes, Teacher Man, The Kite Runner, Frankenstein, The Giver, The Scarlet Letter, A Separate Peace, Left Behind, The Cross and the Switchblade, the Dawn series by V.C. Andrews, Hard Times, anything by C.S. Lewis, James and the Giant Peach, The Twilight Saga, and Angels and Demons.Heroes
Jesus Christ. Though I often fail Him, I know that He is my Lord, my Savior, and my best friend. I would be nothing without Him in my life. My kids are absolutely amazing and are also heroes to me. Without them I would never have made it this far. Their strength, love, brilliance, and forgiveness astound me, and I think most adults could learn a lesson or two from them.

I am a mom to the two most gorgeous little girls on the planet, the wife of an incredible man named Randall, and a 9th grade English teacher at St. Amant High School. As time goes by, I realize more and more how truly blessed I am.
