BIOGRAPHY :
Isthmael was born in Rouen (Normandy). During his musical travel, he discovers many aspects of electronic music.: new wave, goth, electro, industrial, intelligent techno... From 1991 to 1995 he plays in different underground bands as a drummer and keyboard player. In 2000, he creates MORPHOEX an electronic project, instrumental, made by organic sounds, without computer nor sampler nor sequencer in his creation process. MORHOEX is based from two words : "morpho" which means form in Greek and "ex" which means apart from in Latin. MORPHOEX's first abum comes out in 2002, it's a compilation during four years (1998- 2002) on assortiments of jungle, dark music, industrial, electro, ambient... Isthmael contacts some french electronic music labels. Brume records's boss contacts him and seems to be interested by his works on condition that he plays concert. Isthmael refuses and the signature isn't possible. In 2003 he has been contacted by the Parametric label to feat on an electronic compilation "Q F G" the selected track is "cobaye" who is in the first album. After getting his history licence in 2003, he travels alone in Central and Balkanic Europe. After his trip, Isthmael composes an album about the different meaning and associations of the word "travel". He suggests his works to Stephane Viola director of Une Records and an old friend of his who has supported his artistic works since the beginning. Stephane pushes him to make concert who agrees and asks to MKL and Njaka to realize a video for the live. The album "Travel" out in September 2005, on the Une Records label. MORPHOEX's concerts are performances where the music and the video images are associated.The october 29th 2005 morphoex played with Code Machine at Emporium Galorium in Rouen. On Saturday the 22nd april 2006, MORPHOEX played at the festival "la soirée sans batterie"in Coutances. Isthmael Baudry has been contacted by painter Samuel Favarica to compose musics of his exposure. The whole entitled "transmission". Subjects are connection, interdisciplinarity in between all kind of artistic way of expressions which are music, painting and design. They perform at Grand Quevilly's art gallery the 30th may 2006. On the 21st July 2006, MORPHOEX played in festival "Un printemps au parc" at Grand Quevilly with Samuel Favarica's images. From the exposure, an EP. (4titles) has been released. MORPHOEX composed the music and Samuel Favarica worked on the sleeve design. On 5th July 20006, MORPHOEX played at Shari Vari in Rouen with MKL as guest on video. On Friday 5 January 2007, MORPHOEX played at Katabar in Paris for the fetish photographer Jean luc Galinat.
June 20007, two albums out :
- "Delta" (12 titles) is a cold wave electronic album, the photography of the artwork has been taken in Croatia in the delta of the Adriatic sea by Isthmael.
- "Return to noise" (12 titles) is a tribute to distortion it is an electronic industrial album.
- 30 th June live in Rouen to Emporium Galorium.
- 3 th August Presentation in an experimental videos festival from Japan to Osaka "Shinjitsu to kibou shouzouga" directed by Pierre Silvestri, three tracks have been composed by MORPHOEX.
