About me:

Working to provide affordable, local and organic produce at our Farm Stand and at restaurants. • The mission of City Farm is to demonstrate the potential for job creation and a higher local standard of living recumbent of pure food grown on abandoned land. As part of the Resource Center we utilize and create resources from waste to enable other citizens to do so, and as a farm we define our program as a food production lot that offers for-profit bookkeeping, community development, and education. • In 2006 we were selling to twenty-four restaurants and approximately 500 sales at our farm stand (10,000 pounds of produce from our one acre lot in 2006) • We have currently started reclaimation of another lot in Cabrini Green for a community garden/ production partnership. Over twenty youths from the CHA housing projects over the last three years have worked with us, and we hope to continue the lot as an educational space where local residents can grow personal produce with any extension we can offer. ..
