About me:
SuperNatural
Dean was born on January 24, 1979 to John and Mary Winchester. He was the couple's eldest child, and has one sibling, Sam, who is four years younger. Dean was named after his maternal grandmother Deanna Campbell (and possibly himself) while his brother was named after his maternal grandfather, Samuel Campbell.
Dean drives a black four-door 1967 Chevy Impala (given to him by his father), and is a fan of classic rock music and heavy metal. He always wears a metal amulet, given to him as a gift by his brother, [1] on a long black cloth band necklace. In "A Very Supernatural Christmas," the necklace is revealed to have been a gift from Sam on Christmas Day, 1991. The amulet was originally meant for John, and obtained from Bobby Singer, but after their father failed to come home for Christmas (as often), Sam gave it to Dean instead, saying "Dad lied to me; I want you to have it," and because Dean had tried to give him a good Christmas. In addition to the amulet, Dean always wears a silver ring on his right ring finger. He also has a small black tattoo on the upper left side of his chest; it is a protective plated pentagram with rays of the sun surrounding it. The symbol is said to ward off demonic possession.
Dean appears to be a fan of Jack Nicholson and possibly watches Oprah. He tends to make light of some of his and Sam's adventures, and is known to use crude humor and to make sexual innuendos. Dean is terrified of flying, and claims that it is the reason why he drives everywhere. Despite his working knowledge of existence beyond death, he is skeptical towards religion.
Dean values his family and their safety more than anything else, even going so far as to kill a demon and its human host in order to save Sam's life, as well as selling his own soul to save Sam's life.
Sam was born on May 2, 1983 to John and Mary Winchester in Lawrence, Kansas. He was the couple's second child, four years younger than his older brother, Dean. Sam is 6'4" tall. He is named after his maternal grandfather, Samuel Campbell.[1]
In the first episode, the viewers are introduced to Sam, a senior at Stanford who is applying to law school. He rebelled against the family business of hunting supernatural evil and hasn't spoken to his father, John, in years. Dean goes to see him to ask for his help in finding their father, who went missing while on a hunting trip. Sam lives with his girlfriend, Jessica.
The series follows the brothers Dean and Sam Winchester, played by Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, who travel across the country in a black 1967 Chevy Impala investigating and combating paranormal events and other unexplained occurrences, many of them based on folklore, myths, and American urban legends as well as classic supernatural creatures such as vampires, werewolves, and ghosts. Eric Kripke, the series' creator, cites Neil Gaiman's The Sandman and American Gods as influences on Supernatural, along with American Werewolf in London and Joseph Campbell's The Hero's Journey.[2]
The plot of the series has evolved over time, beginning initially with the Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean, looking for their father throughout most of season one. Once they find him, the show becomes about killing Azazel, the yellow-eyed demon responsible for the death of their mother 23 years ago. This is accomplished, but not until after Azazel's plans are completed and a door to Hell is opened, although only momentarily, releasing a horde of demons into the world. This event also sees the death of Sam, who is subsequently resurrected by Dean selling his soul at the end of season two. In the third season, the plot of the show focuses on trying to save Dean from his deal. Along the way, they meet a demon named Ruby, who has an interest in Sam and claims to be able to help save Dean, as well as Bela Talbot, an "acquirer" and seller of occult objects who is constantly a thorn in their side. The brothers eventually manage to track down the demon who holds Dean's contract, a powerhouse named Lilith who also wants Sam dead. However, Sam and Ruby ultimately fail to save Dean, who is killed and sent to Hell. Season four begins with Dean awakening dazed and confused in a grave, having been rescued by an angel named Castiel on orders from God. Sam on the other hand, has further developed his abilities with the help of Ruby during the months that Dean has been dead. It is soon revealed that Dean was revived to help stop Lilith's plan of breaking the 66 seals, which would let Lucifer walk free once again.
Mary Winchester (born to Samuel and Deanna Campbell, 1954) is the wife of John Winchester and mother of Dean and Sam. Her parents were hunters, and she was raised into a life of hunting. Dean, who is sent back in time by the angel Castiel, unknowingly brings Mary to Azazel's attention through his actions. Azazel kills her parents and then-boyfriend John Winchester, after which he bargains with Mary for John's life. Eventually marrying John and leaving the life of a hunter, she gives birth to Dean on January 24, 1979, and Sam on May 2, 1983.
In the pilot episode, it is revealed that on November 2, 1983, Mary is awakened by sounds of six-month-old son Sam crying in his crib. She enters his nursery to find someone she thinks is John leaning over his crib. Returning to bed, she notices a television flickering downstairs. She finds her husband John asleep in the living room, and runs back to Sam's nursery. Hearing his wife's screams, John runs to the nursery as well. Sam appears to be calm and the room otherwise deserted when John enters. However, John sees droplets of blood next to Sam's head. Looking up, he sees Mary pinned to the ceiling with a large gash across her abdomen. She then burst into flames, igniting the rest of the house in the process. She is killed, but the rest of the family is able to escape unharmed. It is eventually discovered that she was murdered by Azazel who, in fulfillment of the contract he made with Mary 10 years earlier, put several droplets of his own demon blood into Sam's mouth, and killed Mary since she went against one of the terms of the original deal by interrupting him.
In 2005, her sons return to their childhood home to investigate a recurring dream Sam experiences in the episode "Home." Mary's spirit seems to haunt the house in Lawrence, Kansas, and a poltergeist is in the house with her, though the psychic Missouri Moseley never feels their presence. After the poltergeist pins Sam to the wall, Mary appears before Sam as a fiery figure. As Dean breaks through the locked door to rescue Sam, Mary tells Sam that she is sorry. Turning to the ceiling, she tells the poltergeist to leave her sons alone. Her spirit fights with and cancels out the poltergeist, forcing both spirits out of the home.
In "All Hell Breaks Loose, Part 1", Azazel reveals to Sam that Mary was killed because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He shows Sam the incident, including Mary running back into the nursery and saying "It's you!" to the demon. According to series creator Eric Kripke, her relation to Azazel was supposed to be addressed in the third season, but was pushed back to the fourth season due to the writer's strike.[1]
In "The Kids are Alright", it is revealed that all of Mary's friends and acquaintances have been killed off over the years since her death.
Gordon Walker was 18 years old when a vampire broke into his house and attacked his sister. Gordon grabbed his father’s shotgun, attempted to free his sister, and then finally shot at the vampire. The vampire threw him across the room, knocking him unconscious, and abducted his sister. When Gordon regained consciousness, the vampire and his sister were gone.
Gordon ran away from home learning to fight, hunt, and kill vampires. He eventually found the vampire that had taken his sister and killed it. He also killed his sister, as she was then a vampire. This marked the beginning of his hatred for the undead.
At some point during his career as a hunter, Gordon Walker met John Winchester and Ellen Harvelle.
