Tavern Fundraisers and how you can help!!! We are currently planning a series of fundraisers for the Tavern. Unfortunatley we still need to raise more money than we anticipated. The hearing for the liquor license is a month later than we expected and so in turn we will be opening later than expected and rent isn't cheap when nothings coming in if you know what we mean? So here's the deal. One of the ideas for an event is a rock/fashion show and we are asking for any local designers that would be willing to donate an item or two (or how ever many they want) of clothing to be auctioned off. Another idea is an art/rock show so we are looking for local or national artists that would be interested in donating for that also. If you or any one that you know would be interested in helping out in anyway please let us know. The dates for those two are still be TBA until we get a little more organized on it. (We have just started planning these two events). We have 2 other events already underway the first being Saturday Jan 26th. This is a garage sale/rock show. This will be held at the new Tavern location 1028 park Ave from 11am until 7pm(sale) and 7pm until 11pm(sharp) (rock show). The 2nd event is Sunday February 24th at Bar Bar from 8pm til 2am. Details will follow on both of these. Right now we are just getting an idea of who is interested in helping us get closer to opening! John the Sound Town hero (who gives us rockstar deals on bad ass shit) and Mykel are the magicians that make your band sound as good as if Judas Priest were playing there, Mykel is the guy who books your band and takes all your schedule changes and cancellations and keep it all together and rolling, Jeneye & Myke Martinez, Travis a.k.a Dj A.D.D. and Dusty of the Hellz Yeah, are the regular DJ's and the local music scene is what we are all about....so come hang out at the legendary 15th St Tavern. DENVER's BEST DIVE!!! a punk/rock venue! ....
