My work absorbs a lot of my time, but I also enjoy travel, interesting dining, live music of many kinds, performing arts, socializing with friends, working out in the gym, and spending time in nature.

Hard rock, classic rock, acid rock, Celtic,techno, electronica, ambience, classical, blues, and -- surprise! -- opera, especially Wagner
Movies
Just about anything with a paranormal theme, though I don't go for slasher horror films. I also like thrillers, mysteries, scifi and fantasy. One of my top faves -- "The Wizard of Oz" set to "The Dark Side of the Moon." Others of note -- "Pan's Labyrinth," "The Entity," "The Exorcist."
Television
Ditto, same as movies. Also documentaries and docu-dramas, and programs about history & mysterious places. Shows that I've loved: Star Trek (all of them), Farscape, Stargate-1, Stargate Atlantis, Twilight Zone, Lexx, Seinfeld, Sex & the City, South Park, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report
Books
Most of what I read is nonfiction related to my work as an author. I occasionally get in a novel, usually fantasy, scifi, thrillers and sometimes paranormal romances.

BACKGROUND
My interest in the paranormal started in childhood, along with a passion for astronomy. After college, I worked as a journalist and editor, and then set out on my own to write books and become a full-time author. I envisioned myself as a novelist, and co-authored, with a writer friend, several action-adventure and horror novels under a pseudonym. An editor of mine asked me to write a nonfiction paranormal book, so I took what I thought would be a temporary diversion into nonfiction.
Well, 25 years and 41 books later, here I am, thick in everything concerning the paranormal, except from a nonfiction perspective.
And I love my work! I am fascinated by the paranormal, mystical and spiritual, everything from A to Z -- alchemy to zombies -- and from the holy to the unholy. All these areas in the paranormal are interconnected, and I like to explore the how and why. I feel very fortunate to be engaged in creative, exciting work that is fulfilling and enriching, and that benefits others, too.
My work takes me on the road to a lot of interesting places, and along the way I meet many interesting people. I love my network of friends and associates.
MY OUTLOOK ON THE MULTIVERSE IN A NUTSHELL
I have had many experiences, ranging from psi to the profoundly mystical. I have moved both spontaneously and at will through doorways into other dimensions. Life in the Multiverse is fluid, a flow of overlapping realities that can best be grasped only through experience and not through words. I am interested in the full spectrum of the paranormal because everything ultimately flows into everything else. We have a tendency to cut reality up into neat little black and white pie slices. Ghosts are here, ETs are there, angels are over there, and so on. That approach prevents us from seeing the bigger picture. Rather, all those pieces of the paranormal fit together, and often it's hard to mark where one leaves off and another starts.
