About 1620 Studios

1620 Studios is a private project studio owned by Engineer/Producer JD Feighner. Located in Colorado Springs it has been the studio used by bands such as A Novel Form, Ten After Eight, Bodycast, Step To Every Pit, Mamzers Dream, YESSURR, Young Deuce, Elision, Habitual, etc... to record, mix, or master their various projects. With 35+ high quality microphones plus an eclectic mix of mic preamps and outboard analogue compressors along with two fully tuned tracking rooms (dead and live) a very high quality sound can be achieved here for a lot less money. The studio runs a ProTools HD 7 rig using a Digidesign control24 as its mixing interface. For monitoring it has JBL's LSR 32's and LSR 28's. Jeff Bowles	Jan 23 2007 10:27 PM You do great work. I've just recently become friends with Mamzer's Dream and a A Novel Form, and the production value of their stuff is fantastic. I produce my own music, though my techniques and equipment are fairly primitive by industry standards, and am planning on getting a Bachelors degree in sound engineering. It'd be cool if you came by my page and listened to my music and give me some pointers. Keep in mind, that there is some music there that I made 6 years ago, just when I was really starting to get into recording. Hope to hear from you soon.
