Well, I love to dance! And share what I have learned with others in the dancing community. Mostly, ethnic dances. Middle Eastern-Tribal style is my strong point. However, I am currently studying and teaching Classical Chinese dancing, Tang Dynasty style. I love dancing with swords, whether it be a Middle Eastern dance, or a Tai Chi sword dance. I am mainly researching dancing and its movement thru cultural influences of the Silk Road travels during the Tang Dynasty. I am a member of the SCA. (www.sca.org) I have been a member of that re-enactment group for 18years. I love history. So, I guess this is why I am a SCA member. I love to dress up in costumes, specially any of my dancing costumes. In the SCA, I am a member of a household called, Clan Dragonshade.(www.dragonshade.com) I love my SCA family! Basically, this is the group that I chill with at SCA events. Check out my pics, to see some of my costumes, and some event photos. I love Dragon Con!(www.dragoncon.com) (I have a costume photo of DC too.) I am on staff for DC, it is cheaper to attend, plus I find it fun to help organize and participate on the tracks. This will be my second year on staff for the Silk Road track. I will be teaching Classical Chinese dancing.....Again, DC gives me a chance to dress up in costumes. I never really grew up when it comes to fantasy and sci-fi. I am also a huge fan of a TV show called the Tribe. It is a New Zealand tv show. Sadly, it does not air anymore. It only made five seasons. But, I do love to RPG. And, I am a member of a Tribe RPG on yahoogroups. I play Iron Kingdom, tabletop game. I love to go camping, and backpacking. I love the outdoors. I love to plant/garden. I am currently loving the TV show called, HEROS. But, I really do not watch a lot of TV. It is too addictive, and I prefer to be active. I love to go to the doggie park, and play with my two dogs: Sammie and Shulzie. I love to sew costumes as well, mostly dance and SCA costumes. My geekie side, I am really big in tectionic plate activity ranging from Volcanos to earthquacks. I love to study volcanology, seismology and geology. I love to camp cook on an upfire. I love to cook, and I love to eat ethnic food too. I love to camp, backpack, dayhike, visit historical sites. I consider myself to be an active person. Although, I do love to take a good lazy nap on a Saturday with my two doggies on the floor and maybe watch a movie. Doggie naps are wonderful therapy!
Music
Yo-Yo Ma. I love his music! I love Classical Chinese dance music, Instrumental Middle Eastern dance music, Irish pub songs, Scottich, Celtic, New Age. I love goth music. I love drums around a camp fire playing tribal music at SCA events. I like some rap, mostly that stuff that has a Middle Eastern beat to it. I love Spanish Classical guitar. My other favorite musical artist is Loreena McKennitt. I am very excited, that she produced a new CD called An Ancient Muse.
Movies
I love sci-fi and fantasy movies. All of them. I tend to avoid any with big teeth. I have a phobia of movies that have deal with Nawshing! Example, Jaws, Parania, Zombie movies of any type. I do not care for Horror movies, but I do like vampire movies that are not gory. I like the old black and white AMC turner classic movies too. But, I rarely go to the movies. I am mover of a DVD video renter.
Television
Tribe, Heros, 24Hours, Lost, and sci-fi channel(Battlestar Galactica, Stargate-Atlantis). But, the only one tha I currently keeping up with is Heros.
Books
It has been far to long since I just picked up a book to read for enjoyment. I have been reading my butt off for school. I am currently still reading school books to study for my RRT State board exam. I let you know when I get a chance to pick up a fun book to read and just plain enjoy. Oh, I tend to read books on costuming, historical books on history. I am reseaching stuff on the Silk Road. But, I use the internet more for that type of stuff.

Chinese Ethnic Circle Dance - Taiwain Northern Mountains. What is amazing about the dance is the complex and tight dance movements. Plus the music used is very spiritual, but not traditional by any means for Chinese music.
Mongolian Rice Bowl Dance What can I say, BUT WOW! Great choregraphy, and beautiful costuming as well.
Chinese KongFu and Chinese dance. I find this video interesting because the choregraphy is a blend of KongFu and Classical Chinese dancing.
Check out my interests, and well that gives a lot of insight about me. Well, currently I am a new graduate. I just passed my CRT, for Respiratory Care. I am studying, studying, studying to pass my RRT state board exam, so I can start working soon. I do not like to argue. I am not talkative. I preferr to listen to conversations. But, I am an outgoing person. I show it more thru my dancing. On a prsonal note, I just prefer for others to do the talking. I am more of an action type person. However, if you get me talking about something that I am interested in, I will carry a good conversation then. I have a very rich family background. Both sides of my family can trace its genelogy to the 1600/1500's. I am an American! I am patriotic! My family orgins are Welsh, Scottish, Irish, Filipino, Chinese, Spanish, and German. I have blonde hair, but if you look at my eyes. You can see the asian features. My dad is solid Welsh, both sides going back for generations. It my mom's side of the family with all the mixing. She is a POW survivior from ShiangHi, China. She grew up in the Japanese prison camp. That is where, I get my asia features from, my mom.
Who I'd like to meet: I would like to meet other Middle Eastern, Classical Chinese or Folk Dancers thru networking. I wish I could have meet my grandfather(mom side of the family). I would like to meet my Filipino cousins, and Chinese cousins/families. My best friend, Etsuko. I would love to meet her family in Japan, and her husband's family in New Zealand. I would like to meet Marty Stouffer, of Wild Wild America, Animal Kingdom TV show. I am more into visiting family friends, than far away strangers from TV, or movies, or political personalities. I rather make new friends. Specially those in the dance community.
