Self Destructing Messengers is an indie rock project that formed in 2006. The name for the band comes from a dream Philonious experienced before the bands formation. Their music can be classified as indie rock, but the band sites many different influences with a range of styles. From Pixies to Nick Drake and Cheap Trick. The lyrics often focus on brooding concepts of politics or spaced out stories of love. The sound they create is swirling and hypnotic.
The band is currently working on new music.
