Biographie

If it wasn't for the screaming need to travel the world and sing, Mckinley would probably be a lifeguard, traffic cop or just walk dogs on the beach for a living. . While other kids were glued to their TV's after school, Mckinley was exploring abandoned buildings around the wharf or purposefully trying to get lost in the woods behind her house. A ping/pong kid who moved around quite a lot and always had her guitar with her and never let go of her music.

Having many adventures in her career sector: fish-cutter, flyer passer outer, accounts receivable clerk, medical secretary; Mckinley finally took a leap of faith and moved to Europe to try out a life as a musician.

Mckinley is a charismatic and stirringly dynamic female artist that once arriving in Berlin, firmly established herself as one of the top songwriters and has significantly influenced Berlin's songwriter scene with her songwriter contest Troubadour (www.troubadour.de.com). She creates her own sound with influences from Rock, Blues, Soul and Country. This American singer-songwriter electrifies fans and music critics with her openness, her very impressive voice and dynamic talent on the guitar. She is a songwriter with an authenticity that inspires her audiences worldwide.

Together with Germany's elite Singer/Songwriter Label, Stockfisch Records, Mckinley has produced her highly anticipated CD "Beggars, Fools and Thieves" (release: March 2011). Reknowned acts such as Ian Melrose, Katharina Franck (Rainbirds) and Ralf Gustke (Söhne Mannheims, Xavier Naidoo) are musical guests on the production with the cover art and photos taken by Germany's Star Photographer Katja Kuhl.
