Interests

  • General

Our exhibitions present contemporary work in the photographic arts, as well as digital, video, and related visual image media. We have provided early exposure to a distinguished list of artists that includes Richard Barnes, Jim Campbell, Binh Danh, Graciela Iturbide, Todd Hido, Barbara Kruger, Richard Misrach, Shirin Neshat, Catherine Wagner, Carrie Mae Weems, Joel-Peter Witkin, and many others.
  • Movies

  • Books

Camerawork’s 3,500+ volume reference library is a valuable resource for students, educators, scholars, and gallery visitors. Containing many rare and out-of-print books and periodicals, the library will reopen to the public in Fall 2009.
  • Heroes

Included on our list of heroes are the hard working artists that successively combat and overcome the obstacles that arise within the world of photography. Camerawork provides support for artists to develop their work, including commissions and awards. Workshops, critiques, and portfolio reviews assist artists with their development and allow them to discuss their work with curators and gallery directors.
