World politics and economics change so fast that in a few days the direction of an entire country is changed. In our daily lives, we keep a calendar to mark down appointments and schedule our days. We are always searching for ways to streamline our lives, to simplify daily living.
But what about the geater issues of life and death? DO WE PLAN? Do we need to search for answers to the deep moral and spiritual questions so that our lives are more orderly? Man has always thought so, which is why we have philosophers and theologians. Today, however, much of the world, in search of knowledge and fulfillment ignores God.
Within each of us is a deep-seated frustration; "I ought to be better", " I was made for something more", "There must be more to life than this". Why am I so empty?
Such feelings, often subconscious, cause us to struggle toward some unknown goal. We may try to evade this quest, we may detour into a fantasy world, we may even regress to lower levels of life and seek to escape. We may throw our hands in disgust and say; What's the use? I am O.K. Just working and keeping out of trouble. But somehow, deep inside is a compulsion which invariably leads us to take up the search again.
From every culture, every country - from those who cannot read to Nobel Prize winners - there is the age-old phenomenon, the mystery of "anthropos" the "upward looking one", the one who is searching, inquiring for life's deeper and often hidden meaning.
Who I'd like to meet:
A remarkable fact for all seekers of God is that belief in some kind of god is practically universal. Whatever period of history we study, whatever culture we wxamine, if we look back in time we see all peoples, primitive or modern acknowledging some kind of deity. Man has worshiped the sun and carved idols. Man has worshiped a set of rules, animals and other men. Some seem to worship themselves.
Some people give up the pursuit of God in frustration, calling themselves "atheists" or "agnostics" professing to be irreligious. Instead, they find it necessary to fill the vacuum left within them with some other kind of deity. Therefore, man makes his own "god" - money, work, seccess fame, sex, or alcohol, even food.
Today many use their nation as an object of worship, espousing the gospel of nationalism.
They mistakenly attempt to displace the true and living God with the religion of nationalism. Other make a god of their cause.
Failure to find the true God, millions declare their allegiance to lesser gods and causes. They find no ultimate answers or satisfaction.
CAN WE REALLY KNOW "GOD"?
Scientists cannot see God in a test tube or a telescope. God Is God and the mind of man is too small. How can a created, finite human being, limited by time and space, understand an infinite God?
Our failure to understand God fully should not strike us as strange. After all, we live surrounded by msyteries we cannot explain. God is far more complex than some of the earthly phenomena we cannot understand.
Many evidences and arguments suggest God's existence, yet the plain truth is that God cannot be proved by intellectual arguments alone. If the human mind could fully prove God, He would be no greater than the mind that proves Him. Ultimately, you must come to God by faith. Faith is the link between God and man.
Your part then is simply to put your will...over on Gods side, making up your mind that you will believe what He says in the Bible, because He says it, and that you will not pay regard to the feelings that make it seem so unreal. God will not fail to respond, sooner or later, with His revelation to such a faith.
"If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation" Rom 10: 9-10)
"Truly, Truly, I say to you, he who hears my Word, and believes Him who sent me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgement, but has passed out of death into life" John 5:24)
The one who receives Christ as Lord and Saviour also receives, immediately, the gift of forgiveness. The Bible says "As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us" (Ps.103:2)
"Your sins are forgiven for His name's sake" 1 John 2-12)
Any person who is willing to trust Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and Lord can receive the new birth now; it is not something to be received at death or after death; it is for now. "Now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corin 6:2)
There is no other way for salvation, there is only one way "Neither is their salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved"
For those who are willing to trust Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord I say: WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF CHRIST.
EVERLASTING FLOWERS Luke 8, versus 11 - 15 In the garden of your life, you choose the path you take, Jesus Christ, your Saviour's hand holds the weeding rake. Just let Him lead you daily along His lighted path, Steadily along life's ways, He'll guide you with His staff. If you choose the HARD path, you're not in the garden at all, Please open your ears and heart to the Saviour's call. Don't take the STONY ground, Jesus never promised us a life of ease. He knows its never easy not to do just as you please. Your bound to hit some THORNY patches as your garden starts to grow, Just confess your failures to Him, His love He wants you to know. Then from the GOOD soil, you will be, all fertilized with Himself, You will be a prize bloom shining, not some seeds left on the shelf. For when you bloom and grow, with God's rising sap of love, The seeds of life will scatter with a never-ending source of love.
God is with you... With words of peace, With a touch of mercy...With a sure promise of hope, With hands of healing.......With abundant grace, With tender care and with A heart of everlasting love. Have a great day

To me
this seems an awesome ambition – to love others as Christ loves us. We cannot
do it in our own power, but only as we allow the fountain of His love to bubble
up in our hearts and flow out to those around us. May your fountain overflow
more and more each day as you grow in the certainty of His love for you.
