One or two of you may have heard through the grapevine that the Rose and Crown is to close... Well folks, i'm sorry to say those rumours are true. This is heartbreaking for those of us who use this bar as our second home.

Being Greenwich's longest surviving gay bar we're as deeply upset and shocked as you are knowing that our bar is closing, it's been home to all us gays for a HUGE number of years... some of you will remember back in the days of it kicking off i'm sure!!

Our final night trading is to be Monday 19th March 2007...

... here's where you come in... We like to think of our bar as a homely kinda place, and dearly love all our customers... parties at the Rose over the years have been truely amazing, so we think it deserves one last Party Night... A kinda Bon Voyage Rose & Crown.

This will take place on Monday evening from 7pm onwards... now, i know this is a school night for a lot of you, however it will be the last night all our truely amazing staff will all be there to take your orders and have a boogie and a truely amazing night with you...

So, spread the word... get all your friends, their friends and their friends along to one of SE London's friendliest bars.
