Dancing with Daleks again
Based in Dartford, Kent we are actually 2 Morris Sides for the price of one. Our men dance Border and a bit of Molly, our women dance Border, North West (but without Clogs) and our own style (which includes Rockin' Morris -to the tunes of All Around my Hat and Rockin' All Over The World! When numbers are low we also do mixed dances.We are famed for blocking Rochester High Street at Sweeps with people hoping to see us go wrong with our Maypole -of course we don't like to disappoint! We have also been known to do the occasional Junepole when begged and bribed with vast quantities of beer. We've done various TV stuff in the past, including the Big Breakfast and CBBC's The Mysti Show which featured Maypole and our infamous Stick Throwing dance, known affectionately as Dick Stropping. We are based in Dartford, though our members hail from Essex and deep Kent (and our occasional drummer/dancer Totally Folked from Sheffield). Our ages range from 17 - pensionable age.................
