About me:

I am a newly converted disciple of the religion of fitness. Since July of 2007 I have lost nearly 60 pounds through hours of serious exertion per week and a periodically disciplined approach to diet. The highlight of my fitness schedule is my time at Joao Crus Brazilian Jiujitsu in Dripping Springs. I live in North Austin and choose to drive out there several times per week(average)to train. I also enjoy an impressive amount of individual attention from higher ranked students than myself. I have always been a gamer, and as I spent hours per week grinding out my cardio on an elyptical machine at the gym I brain-stormed for something to occupy my mind as I exerted myself. That is when I discovered B.J.J. and I found it to fit me very well simply because of the strategy involved in the sparring. Suddenly the exertion became secondary and my intellectual efforts drowned out my physical discomfort related to excercising as I focused on my techniques. I am extremely satisfied with Joao's school and the agenda of the training I receive, but I find myself to be much larger than even the next largest student in my school.
