  • Bio

Fire the Saddle are people from Kentucky. Tory Fisher (guitar, vocals), Mick Sullivan (guitar, banjo, vocals), Rob Collier (bass), and Joey Burchett (mandolin, fiddle) have been crafting and crooning in their hometown of Louisville since 2001, much to the satisfaction of their large and loyal audiences. Citing influences from the Band, Gillian Welch, John Hartford, Freakwater, Neil Young, and thousands more, Fire the Saddle has blended it all into an original and refreshing sound. As soft and sweet as they are rebellious and rockin, their songs of friendship, love, and joy perfectly balance their others of grief, loneliness, and love on the rocks. Sharing bills with artists like Cathy Irwin of Freakwater, My Morning Jacket, Hem, the Two Dollar Pistols, Over the Rhine, and Bobby Bare, Jr., they have pleased many audiences, bringing with them their own homegrown, grassroots following. .. ..
