On the 6th of March the 2-Disc Jurassic Mark compilation CD is being released. This CD contains over 40 bands from the City who have offered their best tracks to promote Southampton music. The tracklistings are released next week!
At the launch night, Jurassic Mark is trying to get a massive publicity photo of as many Southampton bands together as possible. We are being covered by all the local media as over 400 people are involved with the project, and we are inviting all bands and acts to meet at the Talking heads at 6pm on the 6th of March for the photo shoot. Please arrive promptly as we can't wait around or it'll get too dark!!
Please feel free to make banners, posters or wear what you like for the photos and stick around for some food and a few drinks.
At 8pm the launch night is kicking off with performances from Dlugokecki, The Vision, The Queue, Todays Eden & Strange without Medicine. There are DJ's until 2am and 200 of the compilation CDs are going to be given out FREE!!
So come on down, let's have a massive party and be proud of ourselves!! Music is awesome, and so are rusks!
I was gonna mock and snigger about the great photo in tonights Echo of the Beautiful Three .... but then I saw the photos of me on Hammys Facebook .... anyway - that was the best you've ever played on Monday night. The London Carter fans had nice things to say too on the Carter Forum.
Hello chaps, many thanks for trekking out to the sticks to play at the Folly Farm Festival last w/e. Everyone really enjoyed your set - great sounds, especially that fiddle. You've increased your yokel fanbase to an all time high! Hope to see you around soon. Cheers, Mavis
