She is no mere performer; she is a real and true musician.” (Wigmore Hall Recital, 24.07.2008) The Classical Source, 2008 Anna-Liisa Bezrodny began her violin studies already at the age of two with Prof. Ivi Tivik and continued later with her parents, Prof. Igor Bezrodny and Prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. She has made her MMUS degrees in both Sibelius Academy (Helsinki, 2008) and Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London, 2006). Anna-Liisa is a winner of many international competitions and awards. In 2006 Anna-Liisa won the prestigious Guildhall Gold Medal, same competition has been won by Bryn Terfel, Tasmin Little and Jaqueline du Pre, to name a few. Concert tours have taken her to most of the European countries, North- and South-America, Middle and Far East countries. As she is in high demand as a soloist, Anna-Liisa has performed in countless famous concert halls like Barbican, Cadogan, Wigmore and Royal Festival Halls in London, Bridgewater Hall, Moscow Tshaikovsky Conservatory Great Hall, St.Petersbourg Philharmonic Great Hall, Finlandia Hall in Helsinki, Berlin Konzerthaus, Cologne Philharmonie etc. As a soloist she has appeared with numerous symphony and chamber orchestras, such as the Philharmonia (London), Gewandhaus Bach orchestra, Moscow Symphony Orchestra TV6, Helsinki Philharmonic, Zurich Chamber, Estonian National etc. Anna-Liisa has collaborated with countless maestros such as Leif Segerstam, Eri Klas, Sian Edwards, Nikolay Alekseyev, and many others. Anna-Liisa has constantly been invited to participate in numerous festivals, playing in both chamber ensembles as well as solo. Her chamber music partners have included Ida Händel, Sarah Chang, Maxim Rysanov, Ivari Ilja, Ronan O’Hora among others. This year she has released her solo CD in collaboration with Ivari Ilja, available on ALBA Records. Anna-Liisa has recorded for BBC 3, Estonian Radio, Finnish Radio, and NBC, and her recording of the Tamberg Violin Concerto will be out in December 2010.
