About me:

Aisling Ennis enjoys a successful and varied career as a freelance concert harpist. This takes her from studio work, to orchestral performance, chamber and solo recitals, educational workshops and improvisational multi-disciplined performances. Aisling is open to all facets of musical communication and performance. Aisling (pronounced Ash-ling) hails from Dublin's fair city and has recently relocated to the UK where she is based between Cheshire and London. Aisling has performed throughout Ireland, UK, USA, Europe and Asia as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician. Recent engagements have included solo performances at Shanghai Expo 2010, an International Choral Symposium in Pecs, Hungary not to mention Bill Bailey's Remarkable Introduction to the Orchestra in Dublin and Belfast. Aisling enjoys ongoing orchestral work with ensembles including the Irish Chamber Orchestra, RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and RTÉ Concert Orchestra and most recently the Hallé. Aisling has premiered many chamber works with her ensembles and is always eager to commission new works from new composers. A multi award winner and scholarship student from a very early age, Aisling's first TV performance was at the age of ten, when she performed her own composition Raindrops on Irish hit television programme The Late Late Show with Gay Byrne. Aisling became principal harpist with the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland aged 14, a position she held until she left aged 21. Aisling is available for orchestral, chamber and solo work across a broad spectrum of musical activity.
