Some thoughts on UNITY:
"Believing that the plight of another in this human race does not affect our own is like telling them.. your end of the boat is sinking."
"Our histories are different, but our futures are all the same."
And some on ACTION:
"We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people, but for the appalling silence of the good people." -We must change this as a new generation.

All people who have made a positive difference in our world today and those that don't wait for change to come, but take a stand themselves.
About me: This page is designed to create awareness of the current situation in Zimbabwe, and to provide a way for concerned individuals to get involved in making a change.
The aim of this group is to initiate a meet and greet for Zimbabweans and friends on THURSDAY JULY 12, UNION SQUARE, NEW YORK, NY. 8pm
All are welcome and encouraged to join us in July!
There will be a live acoustic piece by Timbila(Mbira), and Nomusa Ndebele( Acoustic guitar)
Who I'd like to meet: All people interested in participating in this event as well as finding other ways to mobilize a change in the deteriorating state of life in Zimbabwe.
"The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step".
~Chinese Proverb
You must take the first step to win any race.
The first step will take some effort and maybe some pain.
But after that, everything you have to do is real-life movement.
Once you're moving you must keep moving.
Create a definite plan for carrying out your desires
and begin at once, whether you're ready or not,
to put your plan into action.
If you can get up the courage to begin,
you have the courage to succeed.
You can only fail if you fail to start.
I wish you pure success in all you dreams,
May you have a beautiful end of the week
Many Blessings and love,
Your friend,

"Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force.
You can see that when you think how the friends that really listen to us are the ones we move toward,
and we want to sit in their radius as though it did us good, like ultraviolet rays."
**Brenda Ueland**
Our communication skills improve when we can open to be aware of the needs of the other person.
When we listen, we can release the filters that serve our own needs for security and receive the message with our compassionate heart.
And when we speak, we can choose words that the listener is able to receive.
True communication happens when we harmonize with the other individual.
"The first duty of love is to listen."

Take time...to notice the dewy web clinging cautiously to the morning grass.
Take time...to feel the fire's warm glow, and hear the crackling wood as it sparks randomly upwards.
Take time...to smell the sweet aroma of cookies wafting from the bustling kitchen.
Take time...to appreciate the laughter of children enjoying the first days of Spring.
Take time...to listen of the rushing stream as it glides swiftly under fallen limbs and over mossy pebbles.
Take time...to admire the diligence of the chattering squirrels seeking stores for their winter nests.
Take time...to wonder at the intricate crystal patterns frosting early morning windows.
Take time...to notice arid, shriveled leaves crunching with each step, along the tree-lined path.
Take time...to watch Autumn's crispness paint changes from branch to branch, decorating the landscape for a short time.
Take time...to feel the cool breeze blowing in the promise of a summer rain.
Take time...to hear the clicking crickets echoing in the blackness.
Take time...to count the stars as they emerge from the graying sky, one by one filling the dark.
Take time...to hear the lapping waves pound against the grainy surface, then recede in answer.
Take time...to enjoy the fragrant scents of blooming newness and life, sprouting an array of colors where brown slept many long months.
Take time...to follow a firefly as it winks across open-air chasing the evening silence.
Take time...to share a smile.
Take time...to give a hug.
Take time...to acknowledge a kindness.
Take time...to tell someone you care.
Take time...to say, I love you.

Wishes are meant for you to ponder, they pass along to someone in need, or can be kept all to ourselves. Wishes are sincere in belief that all our hopes and dreams are within reach.
My wishes for you are my own'..They are an everlasting trust that miracles happen and dreams really do come true. Understood is the value of a nurturing heart, the innocence of a child's eyes and the wisdom of an aging hand.
I wish that the morning sky will forever intrigue you and the stardust of the night will captivate you. I wish that you will always see the man in the moon and entrust him with your deepest secrets.
I wish for you a creative spirit that dusts your imagination with youthful dreams and opens you to wonderful surprises just waiting to happen.
I wish for you to yearn for nothing and find contentment from within. That you will always know what to say to a friend, that your compassion will heal, and many more names will be etched in your heart.
You must not know too much or be too precise or scientific about birds and trees and flowers and watercraft;
a certain free-margin, and even vagueness - ignorance, credulity - helps your enjoyment of these things.
***Walt Whitman***
Don't ever let yourself get so busy that you miss those little but important extras in life - the beauty of the day, the smile of a friend, the serenity of a quiet moment alone. for it is often life's smallest pleasures and gentlest joys that make the biggest and most lasting difference.
I sincerely wish you all good things,
and a beautiful week, my dear friend
with deep respect
Your friend,
