The Joe Archer Quartet was formed in 2004. The group was made in order to play original material which is innovative and unique. We are a contemporary Jazz group, but we have many different influences from Stevie wonder to Jeff Buckley, to Pat Metheney.
We have played at Birmingham's Symphony Hall, Birmingham Artsfest, The Swan in Stratford Upon Avon to name a few.
The group plays "fresh" music. We are based around the West Midlands.
New album now available from www.jazzcds.co.uk.
Cheers for stopping by Joe - and being added. I used to live up in the Midlands and taught at Stratford Music Centre. Apart from the music on my site I play drums with a jazz band down in the south-west.

From the 1st show people spoke real talk now to bring people from all over the U.K. for spoken word poetry session in a positive environment . There will be acapella’s from singers, poets, comedians and lyricists expressing their views on love, life etc. The theme could be what you make of it as it’s your “ life “ to share. It would be £3 with a poem which don’t have to be read £5 without. The aim is to have a place for people to express themselves in a positive way, with no instrumentals, backing tracks just real and raw talent. So if you could make it you would be sure to enjoy it don’t wait till next time live for now member “ to live is to suffer, to survive is to find means to end the suffering “ come and inspire others or be inspired. If you would like to perform & be apart of the poetry session please contact me. ( this would be last the Sunday every month ) Checkout the myspace to see the last show footage Your soulful Artistic Soul
'Sup Joe! Merci pour m'accepter! :) Nah, I'm a Conservatoire bunny (but I'm doing composition first study, and we're all rarely seen about unless it's a Thursday, so I can see why you thought that ;)) but I did come to a gig at the Bash Bar a while back that Hannah was singing at, so that's probably where you've seen me! How be tricks? K :)
Alrighty! How did your radio thing go? I was out unfortunately so missed it...sorry! What are you doing on the 2nd june? We've got a folk gig in moseley and i think amy and iz might come down if you're free and fancy it. x
