    17Candle is a 4-piece pop/rock band with powerful vocals, melody-laden hooks, and heartfelt lyrics driven by colorful guitar licks and infectious beats. Formed in 2001 on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa, the band's raw talent and explosive live show quickly gained them a loyal following in the Iowa college scene. Within less than a year, 17Candle recorded their first EP, Keepers of the Flame, and relocated to Orlando, Florida, where they caught the attention of management companies behind major acts such as Pink, N*Sync, and the Backstreet Boys. The band also completed their second EP, Last Call, while living in the South and performed for a number of high-profile events such as the 2002 Bud Light National Beach Volleyball Championship, as well as the 2003 Orange Bowl. In 2004, 17Candle returned to their Midwest roots and spent the next four years honing their performing and writing skills, offering their talents to other local bands, and developing a highly engaging acoustic show. In the winter of 2009, 17Candle entered the studio once again and recorded their first full-length album, Californ-IA. Shortly following its release, 17Candle received numerous accolades from critics across the Midwest, and invitations to perform at regional and national events, most notably the headlining slot for the 2010 Capital One Bowl All-American Halftime Show in Orlando, FL. In addition, the band gained the highest number of votes in the nation for the 2009 Land Shark Online Battle of the Bands, advancing to the final performance round. 17Candle also released (as a single) a tribute to the Chicago Cubs, called Cubs Win! It too is catching on as a popular anthem for fans across the nation, and is currently being played at three of five Cubs minor league stadiums. 17Candle's unprecedented success continues to impress even some of the most established players in the music industry. Their tireless efforts to push beyond boundaries continue to pay off as they win over new fans night after night. Don't miss your opportunity to catch these guys in action!
