Hollywood sees how NCLB is hurting students and educators...
NEA members see it...
So why don't lawmakers?
Help them see it. Go post your own video about how NCLB is hurting public school eduators at NEA's You Tube channel.
About me: I'm probably a lot like you. I'm an educator who believes that when it comes to creating great public schools for all children, we need to:
* Use more than test scores to measure student learning and school performance.
* Reduce class size to help students learn.
* Provide financial incentives to teachers who work in hard-to-staff schools.
* Call teachers certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards "highly qualified."
* Support teachers of multiple subjects, including special education and rural educators.
Who I'd like to meet: Fellow educators, parents, students, and everyone else ready to stand up and fight for public education and the professional educators who make it the best in the world!

Friends are the stars that shine in our lives all year round...but they twinkle just a little brighter at the holidays. And during this season of sharing and giving, is reminds me how wonderful life is and how fortunate I am to have friends like you. Wishing You a Wonderful Season, Happy Holidays!
Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite holidays of the year because it’s not so commercialized. It’s a time to be grateful for what you have or have had, a time to spend with favorite friends and family. A time to sit back and relax, surrounded by those you care about, share great food, laughter, and give Thanks for all those special gifts you’ve been given whether they be people, experiences or opportunities. My wish for you, is the very best Thanksgiving ever. Thanks for being my friend on MySpace.

A young man dies and goes to Heaven, where he finds he is third in line at the Pearly Gates. St. Peter is taking a much-needed break, so an angel is admitting the newly arrived to Heaven.
The angel tells the three new arrivals that because so many drug dealers and other criminals have managed to sneak into Heaven that St. Peter must now be a little stricter with the screening process. Each person is required to state his former occupation and tell his or her yearly salary.
The first man in line says, “I was an actor, and I earned $1 million last year.”
The angel says, “Okay, you may enter.”
He turns to the woman in line and asks her about her life.
She states, “I earned $150,000 as an attorney.” The angel thinks for a moment and then lets her in, too.
He turns to the third one in line and asks, “What have you done with your life?”
The man replies, “I earned $28,000 last year . . .”
