The concept of The League Of Extraordinary Paranormal and Women ™ has a seed in the comic book superhero teams like, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Justice League of America, Legion of Super-Heroes and the Justice Society. Even the title "Extraordinary Paranormal Women" evokes Marvel's X-Men. However, the characters in THIS League are Women and mainly from stranger then true paranormal reality, not comics.

The League Of Extraordinary Paranormal Women ™ is for Women, about Women, and supporting Women in all area's of the Paranormal/Horror fields including investigators, authors, writers, editors, artists, filmmakers, screenwriters, actresses and musicians. Please don't mistake us, we love our Men, however we support all Women in the paranormal here!

The Scream Queen-
Amy Williamson has been interested in the Paranormal from an early age, but began to formally research it at the age of 16. While earning her Bachelors of Art in Sociology, with a minor in Psychology and Communications, Amy split the remaining time between Theater and Broadcast Journalism which encompassed being an on-air radio personality for both WOCR and ParaWomenRadio.

In 2007 Amy Co/founded The League of Extraordinary Paranormal Women. The League highlights and profiles Extraordinary Women in the Paranormal! Each Thursday Amy Co/hosts ParaWomenRadio and gets the honor of speaking with Extraordinary Women in the Paranormal (paranormal meaning just not of the "norm") that includes psychics, paranormal investigators, natural healers, hypnotherapists, actresses, artists, writers and the list goes on!

Recently Amy was invited to be on WolfMan Mac's Nightmare Sinema, based in the Detroit area. Amy created her own character, wrote her script and has been asked back as a recurring character.

In 2005 Amy formed a paranormal Investigation group, Haunted Hillsdale. At the same time she began filming a documentary in which she profiles the group investigating haunted locations in Hillsdale Michigan. In addition to filming her documentary, Amy is an avid movie script writer in the genres of Horror and Off-beat Comedy, dabbles in local Community Theater (holds a seat on her local Community Theater Board), and has maintained a career working with Women in the Social Services field for over 13 years.

Amy is grateful to her husband, Ian, and her friends and family for all their support in her Supernatural endeavors.

The Paranormal Singer-
Shannon Overland has been fascinated by the paranormal for many years, only to have it repressed by friends and family due to religious dogma. In 2005 she began to merge her beliefs with her interests and a year later made an important step forward by joining Haunted Hillsdale, a local paranormal investigation group, at the suggestion of her sister. Shannon is interested in world travel, having toured extensively throughout Europe and residing in Norway for a period of time. She is a Certified Music Teacher and has been involved in her Community Theater since 1994, both acting and directing. Shannon wishes to thank her sister and best friend, Beth, for encouraging her to find her own truth.

The Gothic Gourmet-
Beverly Van Pelt is widely known as Beverly – The Gothic Gourmet. She is a poetess and writer of fiction and non-fiction with topics ranging from food and entertaining to life and the supernatural, from the allegorical to the darkly romantic. There, you will get a flavor of... well... her personality.

She co-hosts ParaWomen Radio and is the Voice of the ParaWomen Radio Intro and Outro. As well, she has been a guest on Wings of Love Radio, “Imagine-as-One” Radio on KNRY AM, and an up coming segment of Dr. Lou’s Paranormal BlogTalk Show. As the newest member of the League of Extraordinary Paranormal Women, she is actively engaged in the further development of the Paranormal field.

Beverly has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Management and International Entrepreneurship, with an emphasis in Marketing and Teledramatic Arts & Technology from the California State University-Monterey Bay. She is a businesswoman with experience in the arts, music, hospitality, public relations, mortgage, and real estate industries. She has served on the board of directors for the Foundation of California State University-Monterey Bay, San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club and numerous arts organizations.
