Bio
..I've been playing guitar for quite awhile now, and I always concentrated more on writing songs that I liked than taking lessons and learning music theory. I always thought of myself as more of an artist whose medium was music, rather than a musician. ..A few years ago I decided enough was enough, and if I was going to write anything half decent, I should start learning some theory. Which is what I did. And these songs are some of the first that I've written with that knowledge, and there are plenty more coming down the pipe. ..I still consider myself more of an artist, partly because I know my limitations as a musician, but mostly because when I write songs it's my perspective and vision that I want to translate to the listener. And to me that is the greatest acheivement one could hope for. ..Everything was recorded and mixed in my attic using Cubase and Reason. I've had a lot of help learning this delicate art, and a big thanks to Mike Hummel for all of his time and help! Thanks Mike! -

Influences
Lets see here I'll limit this to the bands I've listened to this week. ..Clutch, Pixies, Mr. Bungle, Meligrove Band, Death Cab for Cutie, David Bowie, NIN, Sly and the Family Stone, Sinead O'Conner, Massive Attack, Public Enemy, Faith No More, Tragically Hip, Swervedriver, Priya Thomas, Sigur Ros, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Desert Sessions, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Bjork, Fu Manchu, Ween, Elliott Smith, Blind Melon, Slayer, Sublime, Frank Roy, Kim Barlow, Hot Hot Heat, the Shins, and there's probably a ton that I'm forgetting. ..I get to listen to a lot of music at work, and itunes is the greatest thing since Napster... ..if you can see how all of this music influences my stuff, i'll give you five bucks. -
