Those of us lucky enough to be herpetologists, whether professional or amateur, clearly recognize the value of all amphibians and reptiles. They not only are part of our own evolutionary history, but also are an integral part of our natural heritage; they, along with all other animal and plant species, constitute life on Earth. The excitement and enthusiasm that we all experience while observing and studying amphibians and reptiles have brought together a remarkable diversity of people, collectively known as herpetologists. The continued survival of the animals that have so deeply touched our lives depends on our ability to communicate what we know about them. Zug, Vitt and Caldwell

About me: I love... my boys, reptiles, basketball, Lakers (don't hate), tattoos, piercings, meeting new people, fishing (stream and surf), Pow-Wows, coffee... sleep is overrated, reading, random writing, late night ice cream runs, Sam Adams, the sound of my boys laughing... sneakers on the hardwood during a game, woodworking/cage building, yard work and gardening, the smell of fresh cut grass... saw dust... and a clean cage
Our Hero... the reason why i do what i do...
My name is Michelle... I'm Native American: La Jolla Band of Luiseno Indians, here in So. Cal, and German. You can visit the La Jolla site at lajollaindians.com it's pretty cool. I'm very content with who I am and where I'm at in life. I have 3 boys: 11, 16 and 21yrs old... All my men are amazing! Anything else you want to know... message me________________________________________
THE FOLLOWING ARE OUR OWN PERSONAL PETS... IT'S AN ADDICTION! We have 2 rescue Iguanas (male and female) El Guapo - The Handsome One and Reggie. 2 rescue Argentine Black and White Tegus (male and female) named Yin and Yang... they're friggin beautiful! 2 rescue ball pythons (male and female) Agro and Shelia. 2 Bearded Dragons (both male) Pyro was rescued and Serge is our old friend. Finally, 2 Savannah Monitors... (male and female) Oscar is a rescue and Bosco was an import. We found Bosco at a pet store where they wouldn't touch her because she was so wild. So, we posted bail and took her home:) Savs should NEVER be imported to novice pet stores... I’d love to hear of experiences and opinions from other rescuers/breeders and owners. If you're thinking about an exotic as a pet; send a message..... I’d love to help direct you to valuable information in researching your potential Repti... PLEASE REMEMBER: consider their captive “life Span”, their adult size, veterinary care costs, adequate housing and your electric bill dramatically increasing! They're a lot of work, but they're worth it!!
