Transmission of the disease has been clearly documented after bites by fleas, mites mosquitoes and ticks. There is compelling evidence that Lyme disease (LD) can be spread by sexual and congenital transfer. One physician has cared for 5000 children with LD. 240 of these children were born with the disease. Dr. Charles Ray Jones, the leading pediatric specialist on Lyme Disease, has found 12 breast fed children who have developed LD. Miscarriage, premature births, stillborn, birth defects, and transplacental infection of the fetus have all been reported. Studies at the Univ. of Vienna have found Bb in urine and breast milk of LD mothers.
Researchers at the Univ. of Wisconsin have reported that dairy cattle can be infected with Bb hence milk could be contaminated. Bb can also be transmitted to lab animals by oral intake such as food.
The Sacramento, California blood bank beleives that LD can be spread by blood transfusions. The CDC (Center for Disease Control) in Atlanta, Georgia states that their data indicates that Bb can survive without detection by the blood processing techniques used for transfusions in the U.S.
Lyme Disease is the fastest growing epidemic in the world. LD is grossly underreported so there may be far more than the 200,000 cases reported annually in the U.S. Dr.Harvey and Salvato estimate that 1 billion persons in the world may be infected with LD. LD is thought to be a contributing factor in 50 % of patients who have chronic illness.

The eyes of the nation are on San Antonio, Texas.
An influential
opposition has, with malicious intent, lined up to make the following
a benchmark case against right to treatment choice where multiple
protocols exist.
A loss will be devastating not only to this family,
but also to the future of medical care access to everyone suffering
from a disputed medical condition and especially to those, present or
future, suffering with Lyme disease.
Marc, a nine-year-old Autistic child with confirmed Lyme disease, and
his mom are under attack by San Antonio Child Protective Services
(CPS) because the mom sought competent medical treatment for Marc.
When she contacted us for help, she pleaded, “Please help me to save
my son �" he is dying!†In fact, without knowledgeable medical care,
he was losing his vision and had already lost 30 pounds.
Uninformed physicians supporting the Infectious Diseases Society of
America (IDSA) and the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) position on
Lyme disease instigated the report to an equally uninformed CPS.
CPS has interfered with the legal medical care of this special needs
child without any due diligence.
Their first intervention was an
invasive confrontation indicating no desire to understand or resolve
conflicting and debatable medical opinion widely known to be suspect
[Findings by Connecticut Attorney General Blumenthal, Reported May 1,
2008].
The child is now subject to removal to institutional care with an
equal lack of understanding and skill and Marc’s mom is being pursued
for criminal charges.
Texas CPS, the foster care system, and
contracted physician services have a documented history of
questionable actions and deadly results [Ramshaw, E.

News, August 17, 2008].
CPS and the San Antonio district have been in the spotlight for a
number of missteps, the most recent being their mishandling of the
abusive FLDS polygamist group situation in West Texas.
San Antonio
CPS needs to regain credibility.
The local County District Attorney
needs to recover from a series of strong criticisms in preparation for
a 2010 reelection campaign.
Such self-promotion of authority makes
their prosecution of this matter highly questionable.
The protectors
from child abuse have become the abusers.

Please read and repost all my bullitens on lyme disease. I need your help to spread awareness. More and more people come down with Lyme disease every year, and there are less doctors willing to treat it.
I am one of thousands 10 years I still have symptoms. Due to ignorance of our MD's and immproper treatment in the begining the Lyme disease becomes stronger and harder to kill. With out a change many more will suffer.
Without awareness and knowledge more people will become disabled and some will even die. The MD's that do understand the magnitude of this disease have there hands tied do to politics of this disease.
Treatment cost keep many from ever getting proper treatment , Insurance companies don't have to cover treatment needed to cure lyme, and unlike other disease it is immproperly treated and undiagnosed.
If it were any other disease patients would have choices of treatment and would have the opportunity to get well but not with Lyme Disease. Lyme disease patients are the only ones told that your not sick It is all in your head.
Go to a phyciatrist, Go home your not that bad.
Many die after being told that due to organ failure from organs being attacked being tuned away. Had I stayed with listened to doctors and not sought help elsewhere. I would be dead today. Lyme disease attacked my lungs and liver. Emergency rooms sent me home and did nothing. It took too many years to get diagnosed and I may never get better.
Like thousands I may get worst or even die unless I can get to LLMD and get treatment that is correct. Still it could be too late. This is reality for too many.
It can happen to anyone, anytime. Now with tick season started.

I just talked to someone I haven't seen in a long time. She was told she has fibromyalgia no test for lyme were ever run. She says she feels like she is dying. She has to go for sugery for gallbadder removal. She has other organs systems involed too. She is 30 years old. Kind of young for not having anything but fibro witch does not hurt organs.
She said she cant; get out of bed. and she has been sick for two years. Headacks so horribe. This is what it feels like when it is let go.
Because we are dissmissed by our doctors friends and family are not even supportive.. They still don't believe it is that bad or doctors would put you in the hospital. With lyme even if you are about to die they just send you home.

Ehrlichiosis
Took MD's 7 years too diagnose this Co-infection. Infectious disease specialist did not even know that Lyme disease ticks also carry co-infections. It is a miracle I am alive.
Ehrlichiosis is a bacterial infection caused by several types of rickettsiae, which invade and kill white blood cells. The American dog, brown dog, lone star, black-legged, and probably the Western black-legged ticks transmit the pathogens. There are two types of the human ehrlichiosis; human granulocytic ehrlichiosis (HGE) and human monocytic ehrlichiosis (HME).
Signs/Symptoms:
Fever, malaise, headache, chills, severe muscle aches or pain, vomiting, anemia, lung infection, decrease in white blood cells, elevated liver enzymes. A rash occurs in a small percentage of people. Neurologic manifestations include seizures, meningitis, confusion, ataxia, cranial nerve palsy, and change in mental status. Delayed treatment can result in death.

"Based on the CT Attorney General's anti-trust investigation outcome, please remove the Infectious Disease Society of America's (IDSA) Guidelines for the Treatment of Lyme Disease from the US Center for Disease Control's site, until they are rewritten.
Per: the agreement between IDSA and the CT AG's Office, the new guidelines will be rewritten by a new panel of experts, include updated research, and a public hearing from those suffering from Lyme Disease etc.

Selective mutism is a complex psychological disorder with an unknown origin. It is a widely misdiagnosed social phobia. Generally, it is called shyness for several years until a child enters school and does not function verbally in school and most social situations outside of school. Parents and teachers become very concerned and seek further assistance and diagnosis. These children have the ability to speak and understand language, develop age appropriate skills, and function normally at home with most family members. However, if the behavior lasts for a period of time, it becomes a learned pattern and is quite difficult to overcome, because the longer a child is silent, the more entrenched the behavior becomes.

“It’s time for a fresh approach and new information,” says Sue Vogan, host of the In Short Order radio show. “This Lyme disease is nasty business and victims need some help from those on Capitol Hill.” In Short Order has been bringing Lyme disease information to listeners for three years and is the only Lyme disease broadcast like it in the world.
Randy Sykes, with the Lymecryme website states, “I hope the whole Lyme disease community will pull together to support the efforts of the National Capital Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Association. It’s an opportunity to bring about a much needed change.” He further claims, “The Lymecryme website was created to bring about a public hearing. This now is possible because this group and individuals are working together.

The National Capital Lyme Disease Association has been in existence since 2001 and is a key source for information. They serve the nation’s capital Lyme disease community with a support group and now, with this Capitol Hill luncheon briefing.
The author of “Beating Lyme: Understanding and Treating This Complex and Often Misdiagnosed Disease” with Dr. Lesley Fein, comments,” Lyme disease is so prevalent that 1.7 million Americans are estimated to be infected.
From 10-20% of those bitten by an infected tick acquire chronic Lyme disease. At the 2001 Albany, New York, legislative hearing, the numbers of those chronically infected with Lyme were stated as 10,000. The disease has spread to virtually every state.
Yet doctors continue to be given the misinformation that two to four weeks are adequate to treat bacteria that, within hours and days, can spread to heart, brain, joints, muscles, tendons and the nervous system. In several states as many as half of the exploding deer tick is now infected with the Lyme spirochete. And in several states as many as half of the exploding deer tick population is now infected with the Lyme spirochete. People who go outdoors into long grass, bushes and leaf litter risk getting bitten by a tick. Only half of them will see the bite, and of those bitten, only half will get a rash.
What is more, the commonly used Lyme test picks up no more than a third of the cases of Lyme disease. The better test picks up, at most, two thirds of cases. And then there is the treatment problem. Doctors are still being told that two to four weeks of oral antibiotics cures all Lyme disease, even in the case of heart block and brain disease. The small group of physicians who continue to promote their unchanged view on Lyme disease treatment have been investigated for conflicts of interest and financial gain by Connecticut's Attorney General Blumenthal. Delayed and inadequate treatment increases the risk of contracting chronic Lyme disease, costing more than two billion dollars a year in disability, loss of jobs and the medical costs of the chronically ill.
Those who adhere to the over diagnosed, over treated theory often ascribe continuing illness to "post-Lyme syndrome," a condition for which there is not a shred of scientific evidence. Often, patients' continuing illness is misdiagnosed as chronic fatigue syndrome, attention deficit disorder, fibromyalgia, or depression. Worse, their condition is frequently misdiagnosed as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, lupus or Alzheimer's. I have met dozens and more of those who later discovered their problem is Lyme.
With an escalating tick population, lack of diagnosis and inadequate treatment, how can we not have an epidemic of unrecognized chronic Lyme disease? We can no longer focus solely on ticks and ignore medical treatment for those who become ill.

Fybromyalgia,Lupus, etc..Big Pharma and Several big universities are implicated. Since 1980 bacteria and viruses and DNA from them is patentable. $$$ Huge Rico suit being filed. "Mearly a continuation of the Tuskegee Experiments" on a national level, designed to line the pockets of the academia who write the "technical medical policy" for the government agencies and anyone else who co-operates with the insurance companies. At what cost? Our quality of life or lack of it. Our"life,liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" This is Mass Genocide of the highest order.....The truth has been hidden in plain sight. They just continue do deny it's existence. Educate yourself, for you and your family and friends sake. Your MD is most likely a puppet. May you have the strength to forward the cause.
