About Us

This site is by, and for, Obama supporters. However, many of us are displeased with the Obama campaign at the moment.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide Senator Obama with direct, unfiltered feedback from the Internet-connected portion of his grassroots support-base – his ‘NetRoots’.

Our Current Cause

Our current focus is on achieving a more appropriate outcome to ‘MySpaceGate’ – an outcome that is morally and ethically sound, as well as an outcome that will help Senator Obama grow his NetRoots support-base, not damage it (as is his current direction).

To achieve this goal, we plan to raise enough attention to the issue of ‘MySpaceGate’ that Senator Obama finally gets full and complete information about it – so he can do what is needed to appropriately address the situation, before it noticeably damages his considerable grassroots support-base.

To accomplish that, we need Your Help! Please consider helping us out in one or more of the ways listed above!

MySpaceGate

Our current displeasure centers around the Obama campaign’s mishandling of ‘MySpaceGate’ – their attempt to forcibly take-over Obama’s largest fansite; the misleading and defamatory information they have put out about that situation; and their absolute refusal to work towards a more appropriate and ethical outcome.

Many of us believe that a small part of Barack Obama’s campaign staff have been making decisions on how to handle this situation, without fully informing the Senator of what has occurred or the down-stream consequences.

In late April 2007, the Obama campaign chose to target one of the world’s largest Political Online Communities (POCs) – the 160,000 member strong Unofficial Obama MySpace site – and its creator, Joe Anthony.

In early May 2007, it appears the Obama campaign attempted to forcibly take-over all three parts of the giant Unofficial Obama fansite:

1. its Website Address (the URL)
2. its Content (the webpages)
3. its Friends List (the online IDs of the 160,000 members)
