About me: Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1973. Studies art at “Cambridge Center for Adult Education”, Boston, 1996-97 and “The Art Students League of New York” with Larry Poons, William Scharf y Frank O’Cain, 1998-2006. “Merit” Scholarship at ASL NY, 2001 and exhibits in a group show at Lincoln Center. In 2005 assists ”Taller Clever Lara” in Montevideo. In 2005, creates and presents “Pintando M?sica”, music and live painting performance, with Uruguayan pianist and composer Gustavo Casenave, Montevideo, Punta del Este, Bs. As. and NY. In 2006, creates with Natacha Ruth - fashion designer, “Multisensorial 2007” painted dresses collection,
being exhibited in Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Punta del Este and New York.
Galleries and private collections in Uruguay, Argentina, USA, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Spain, Finland and China.
“Rhythms and colors of the soul, intensity and freedom expressed by action painting. Challenging the unexpected, letting the paint drip after a brushstroke allowing gravity, feelings and improvisation, to be part of the music in colors. The energy that transmits the vibration of the cords of an instrument, the one between colors, resembles the vibration among us in the spiritual and physical space. I seek to be “present”, to concentrate on the not pre-determined variables, applying the work, technic and experience, to achieve the
balance and integrity of the work. Art is infinite, it changes, creating new colors, forms and movements.
Music is a constant theme in my life and as a consequence in my paintings.
My intention is to express the way I live art and paint life.”
