.. .... Conceived on Valentines Day to the sounds of Hendrix, Barbie Hatch was born. Adopted by veterinarians, a songbird grew, raised by coyotes and quails in the wilds of the Southwest. From the tender years in church choir, to dark Texas halls, BH has breathed ethereal sound. Her lyrics speak of melancholy, machines, and inter-dimensional love, as heard on her 2006 collaboration "Go To Sleep" with multiple Juno winning hip-hop group Swollen Members about an elusive dream-girl. (http://www.swollenmembers.com) B is currently putting finishing touches on a solo debut EP with acclaimed producers Squeak E. Clean (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Koool G Murder (The Eels), and Brent Nichols (Oliver Future). Due for release early 2009, the record will follow Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon’s hotly anticipated N.A.S.A. album (Released FEB 17th!), an ambitious project years in the making. The latter features “Way Down,” B’s dusty, sinister collaboration with Rza (Wu Tang Clan) and John Frusciante (RHCP) about a girl in love with the devil.
