| General | Video games: Zelda, Madden, adventure games, a couple good RPGs.
Others: taking walks, being on a swingset for hours, hiking, chilling at the beach | | Music | My music tastes are deviant. I've watched MTV for about 10 minutes total in my life, VH1 about 2, so I have absolutely no idea what's happenning in pop culture in that respect. I also know little about bands and singers in decades past, they're just not my thing.
I love movie soundtracks, especially John Williams and Hans Zimmer. My favorite soundtrack would have to be a tie between Gladiator by Hans Zimmer and the original star wars trilogy soundtracks all grouped into one . I also enjoy Rammstein, Enya, Celtic music, some classical (Beethoven's Symphony 9, Jupiter Symphony, and the Brandenburg Concertos), and other instrumental pieces. | | Movies | LOTR, Matrix, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Miyazaki's films (great anime), Hotel Rwanda, BATMAN BEGINS!!!, and select others | | Television | Chargers football, Padres Baseball. Otherwise, the news. | | Books | good philosophers, LOTR, Harry Potter, mostly classics and scholarly material. The peace corps here has a lending library for volunteers, so I grab whatever Michael Moore book, history book, or good looking novel I can find. | | Heroes | Homer (the poet, but maybe the one in the simpsons works as well) and my parents. Uh, also my sister for taking a hand in raising me, can't leave her out. |

About me:
What about me? Well, I'm a alumni of Humboldt State University. I was studying philosophy as a major with minors in peace and conflicts studies as well as Math. I was a co-director at the YES House for Homelessness Network where we go to Serenity Inn in Eureka (a transitional home) and play with the kids to give em some love. Right now, I am a peace corps volunteer in Burkina Faso. I teach math and english at roughly a middle school out in the African bush. Life is treating me well. I get lots of new adventures everyday that you can read about in my blog and learn more about myself.
