Stacy 16

Stacy es el nombre de una película de colegialas zombis dirigida por Naoyuki Tomomatsu y basada en la novela homónima de Kenji Otsuki, que muestra pequeñas referencias al terror clásico; nombrando a George A. Romero (Dawn of the Dead) y a Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead), pero con un Gore mucho más oriental.

Haciendo un poco de referencia acerca del film, la historia parte a comienzos del siglo XXI, cuando chicas de 16 años de edad comenzaron a morir en todo el mundo. Justo antes de morir las muchachas entran en un estado llamado: Near Death Happiness (Felicidad Previa a la Muerte), una etapa que se manifiesta en forma de constante alegría. Lo extraño de la situación es que las chicas fallecidas no “descansaban en paz”, sino que resucitaban como zombis. Nadie conocía la causa pero aquellas chicas fueron llamadas Stacies.

Stacy 16 es una fusión de estilos, tintes de Gothic, Trance, y Electro, mezclados con humor negro, sarcasmo a la vida, etc. Nuestras letras hablan desde leyendas y mitos como Bloody Mary, monstruos serie b como Freddy Krueger, hasta vampiros y seres sobre naturales como en la canción: She.

Stacy 16 surge en abril de 2007. Integrado por Amaranta en voz y letras y Polo en programación, sintetizadores y samplers; Sequenz_ se integró un par de meses después colaborando con algunas vocales y música adicional. Hace referencia a películas clásicas de horror de los años 30 y 80, cine Gore y obras maestras de Lucio Fulci, Darío Argento, Tod Browning, Frederick Murnau y Geroge A. Romero.

En Junio de 2009, Sequenz_ dejó la banda por razones personales; su último concierto como parte de Stacy 16 se llevó a cabo el 22 de Agosto de 2009, en la Ciudad de Puebla.

"Stacy" is the title of a Japanese movie, directed by Naoyuki Tomomatsu, and based on the novel of the same name from Kenji Otsuki. The novel refers to Classic Horror, naming George A. Romero (Dawn of the Dead) and Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead).

In the film, the story takes place in the Early 21st Century, when 16-year-old schoolgirls start to die all around the world. Just before dying, these schoolgirls experience a phase called "Near Death Happiness." This phase manifests itself as constant joy among the girls. The weird part of this situation is that the dead girls won't rest in peace, and instead came back to life as schoolgirl-zombies. Nobody knows the reason, but these girls were called "Stacies."

Stacy 16 is a fusion of styles: Goth, Trance and Electro outlines, mixed with black humor and sarcasm. Our lyrics speak to topics ranging from legends and myths, like "Bloody Mary," and B-series monsters, like "Freddy Krueger"  to vampires and supernatural creatures, such as in the song "She."

Stacy 16 arises in April of 2007, integrated by Amaranta in voice and lyrics and Polo in Programming and synthesizers; Sequenz_ joined a couple months later doing some vocals and additional music. It makes reference to classic horror movies dating from the 30's and 80's, gore films and to master pieces by Lucio Fulci, Darío Argento, Tod Browning, Frederick Murnau and Geroge A. Romero.

In June of 2009, Sequenz_ left the band for personal reasons; his last concert as a part of Stacy 16 took place on August 22 of 2009, in the City of Puebla.
