1969 Was Fine is a Punish Yourself spin-off/side-project. Guitars, saxophones, bass, drum, psyched-out synths ; we play fast, we play hard, we play stoned. This is drug music from hell's garage, or maybe dark sonic matter falling off the stars ; haunted by the ghosts of Johnny Thunders, Stiv Bators and Link Wray... Our first record "But 666 is alright" has been released on Seasons Of Mist (Christian Death, Jarboe...). It should have featured famous guests, but it doesn't. Ain't that "teasing" ?
