.. ............ .... A native of North Carolina, Whizdom A.K.A. Mr. Carolina" has set out to design the blue print for the future of North Cak Hip-Hop. This Artist /Produce/Graphic Designer, along side others like Little Brother and Petey Pablo is helping redefine the long standing stereo type that North Carolina is not a place to look to for Hip Hop Super Stars. Hard at work on his album " Relate Music Vol. 1 -The Art of Life" Whiz has been working with some of the hottest up and coming producers from all over the country like Digital Product out of L.A., Trackbangaz, and Bill Hughes ( The Chop and Screw King Of the Midwest) who co-produced the truck rattling joint "Chevy". When it came to features for the album Whiz choose to avoid going the route of the hired gun, opting instead to spend his money with other artist that are still hungry and on there grind like him. When asked about the decision to work only with independents Whiz had this to say, " I could have paid big name niggaz to get on the album, but why put money in they pocket when they are already established. I'd rather help out niggaz thats out here grindin for they shine like me. And I aint tryin to ride the next nigga shine, when real niggaz will respect your music regardless of who you have on ya album. So instead Im fuckin wit other Niggaz on the come up like, Japharo, Bawss, Abe Nice, and Soncerae. We all the niggaz thats out here grindin the hardest to put North Cak on the map." The street level realness that Whizdom presents in his speech is also evident in his business dealings. Even though Whiz has had a few different offers from labels to sign, he has chosen to stay true to his independent roots stating that Im not arrogant, just a country guy with big plans, and I'm stuck in my ways. If you dont control what happens to you someone else will do it for you. So with that said I have to have the last decision on everything. Besides his new album Whizdom is also co-sponsoring the "King of Da City rap battle tour which will take place at cites around the country beginning with 10 stops in the south east and mid-west shortly after the New Year.
