Influences
This is always a very difficult one to answer. ...It all started with Cat Stevens when I was very young. I used to play his songs with my dad. So there's Cat, The Moody Blues, Cream, and Neil Young. All of the real rock and roll. It doesn't stop here though. Hendrix, SRV, and Clapton showed me the way to lead guitar in my bedroom after school everyday when I was in high school. The more modern stuff that has had a profound effect on every aspect of my life is Pearl Jam, number one. Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, A.I.C., and S.T.P ....ah yes, and Mother Love Bone. This is where I found myself. I also love a lot of jazz players. Pat Metheny, John Scofield and Charlie Hunter to name a few. Oh, yeah.......At the present time, U2 and Radiohead are no.1 on my listening list. I even like some country. Hank Jr. and Shooter Jennings are it! There's just too many to list. It's just music people, and if it moves you, and the lyrics maen something to you, then that's it. Music makes the world go round. -

10 of 11MoreHi Wes - I am looking for a Wes Sayer who played upright bass and lived in New Hampshire in the late 60s early 70s. Is there a chance your dad was a jazz musician?
Thanks,
Charlie Jennison
