  • Bio

Ahem, in my best 3rd person voice.....1adam12 is known to create in the key of Z. Poetry with props. Din with some verbal travail. Born in Bergen County NJ, 1adam12 had lived in Upstate NY, The greater Metropolitan area of NYC, St Thomas USVI, and on a large Schooner sailing the USVI/BVI's, Annapolis Md, and Atlantic City NJ. "Nomadic divorced parents and an uncontrollable wanderlust since birth will do that" he had once stated...To compensate for the relatively chaotic childhood...the concept and practice of "air guitar" propelled this young person to put off learning the actual subjective logistics of the guitar until age 20. According to an early 80's Nick Kent article, 1Adam12 reported to him that: "Dominoes lined up, Urgh a Music War came on TV...I memorized and analyzed all those bands and then my obsessive record buying began.... I'll have to say that those band family trees became biblical to me". A 70's Fender bass was bestowed upon Adam in the summer of 85' by longtime inspirational highschool pal, and future bandmate Pstek (now known to himself as the modern Alexander Calder of Wire Art). Adam could not sing anything apart from anchoring lines, so the bass was eventually abandoned for the guitar. Later, punk rock/hardcore and some quasi post proto punk (QPPP) figuratively split his head open. In 1986 in addition to embarking on a successful local DJ career on WLFR 91.7 FM, The quirky 3 member pop band NOisE MuSeum began shortly thereafter with a 5 chord knowledge, and later evolved into the twin guitar drive and 7 chord knowledge of the Oxygen Tent. O2 disbanded in 2000.....Since then, 1adam12 has contributed to a host of recording/engineering projects as well as gigging out in a number of capacities with: Jumpship, Malcolm Tent, an obscure Monkees cover band "The Drunkees", The Enemies of the Secret Hide-out, The Feelies-esque/Glenn Mercer Project. 2008 saw 1a12 in a musical outfit called "Qatsi". He is currently looking for like minded individuals to jambo... He has been in some noteworthy live and recording situations...He could name drop a little, but that has become rather boring....If you get a talkin' to 1a12 you will find that he has at least a few degrees seperation to something of interest. All comes into play when 1a12 pulls into formation. Despite an unpredictable vocabulary, this relatively un-well read red man, has been managing to pump out a significant catalogue of material, he generally regards 40% of it unlistenable. The remaining 60% he finds to be substantial to himself in some regard, which keeps him going.

Always on the search for the other kid around the block...who is synthesizing as we speak...Looking forward and generally open to having my mind blown again... Right now, according to the satellite skycam, 1a12 is said to be continuing work on the forthcoming record in his highly customized blue igloo....The Governments' high powered condenser mic has picked up him listening to: The NEW Feelies recordings The Plymouth Satellite camera has picked him up looking at Youtube and fondly remembering: THe Monochrome Set/Cherry Red records interview and Bid's utter genius, now there's a rock star!
  • Sounds Like

Someone said his sound is like Ray Davies/Neil Young? He happens to think the sound is like the molecules moving and hitting eachother right smack in the middle between Rockwell and Pollack's handshake....with a twist of Iroquois and some Abruzzi, His heritage...hope that tells you where his head is at. He truly loves good songs, and tends to shy away from cliche and passe compositions...unless he's just so taken, which happens occasionally. He sounds like some of the music he plays every week 8-10pm EST: http://radiotime.com/station/s_30614/WLFR_917.aspx

maybe now, you are not able to read your message with this new "myspace design", so I inform that I uploaded a new song "goodbye, Stockholm". and it is an English because it is dedicated to the city of Stockholm and to its inhabitant. maybe, the mix is too loud.

Yep, that it is. I had to jettison it in one of my moves a few years back - if memory serves me correctly, it was a 21 fret Mighty Mite neck, but it could have been one of several others - I used to stockpile Fender parts; now I got nuttin'.
