Autumn Blaze is a soul stirring spoken word stylist, poet and freelance writer that has become a notable presence of her own on the Milwaukee poetry scene. She has moved many audiences to tears with her revealing style of exposing her personal happiness, pleasure, frustration, pain, and insecurities..... Since her first performance on May 30, 2004, Autumn Blaze has opened up for internationally known neo-soul phenomenon Floetry, Hidden Beach recording artists Kindred and The Family Soul, Bad Boys of Comedy star Wildcat, BET Comic View and Comedy Central star Comedien Jazz, as well as from Laffapalooza and Def Comedy Jam fame, comedian Deon Cole. She has also had the opportunity to perform for the NAACP Urban Soul Series, YMCA Black Achievers Organization, KarmaSoul INNERtainment, Illustrious Entertainment as well as share the stage with nationally known poets like 3 Brothers and a Mic, Taalam Acey, Future, Muhibb Dyer, Dasha Kelly, Kwabena Nixon, and Daniel Allen Vaughn to name a few. These opportunities have provided her with the experience of performing in such acclaimed venues as the Overture Theater (Madison, WI), The Miramar Theater, The Marcus Centers Vogel Hall, The Milwaukee Art Museum and University of Milwaukees Lyrical Sanctuary as well as popular poetry sets namely Taboo, Mecca Nightclub, Panache, The Mosaic, Onyx, Espresso Christophs and 311 Nightclub. Autumn Blaze was a member of the 2005 Milwaukee National Poetry Slam team and currently participates as a member of the undefeated Milwaukee team in the Midwest Slam League..... More recently, Blaze has been featured on Fox Televisions' Showtime Milwaukee and has been seen in MKE Magazine. She has also conducted poetry workshops for Project Ujima, Department of Juvenile Corrections, and now at Shalom High School, assisting teens to embrace their artistry while channeling their energy through writing. She has a poetry chapbook: A Taste of Autumn Blaze, has released her highly anticipated CD entitled- CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE and on May 30, 2009 she will celebrate her 5 year anniversary by launching a greeting card line called IGNITE, releasing her 2nd CD called NewGrowth, releasing her 2nd book September 10th and performing a one woman show called Autumn Blaze Raw. Very soon she will be hosting her on spoken word radio hour called HOTMOUTH on www.blowradio.com and is a part of a documentary featuring Milwaukee talent on the rise entitled- "Mark My Words" by Brad Pruitt slated for international release this year.....
