Influences
sex pistols, PiL, english dancehall and dub reggae, roger miller, alcohol (especially guiness), punk rock women, bikini kill, NYC and BKLYN, and the WORLD,pub life, television personalites (we totally rip them off- sorry guys but, we love you), the Dolls and the Toy Dolls, NY Mets, fellini, james joyce, thin man movies, pogues, dublin, osaka (big hello to shonen knife), old fucked up instruments, Godzilla, lo-fi, and we are definately influenced by large sums of money being handed to us -
Sounds Like
i know you've heard it before but we do have a sound of our own! More like a voice...more like a voice moaning out of a bathroom stall at 4 am...or from under a barstool...or from inside of a closet at a party, but with guitars and funny lyrics...we are the true sound of brooklyn on guild acoustic guitars...a little irish, a little melancholy...a true cross genre nightmare!

10 of 20MoreDear Fran, Brian Told me about your illness and hospitalization. I can definitely sympathize, having been in SI University hospital 11 times, and now still having even more difficulty than the last time I was operated on..I know there are very good drugs for the treatment of ulcers such as librax..The doctors will probably want you to stop drinking, such as they want me to stop smoking..Its difficult, I have been in recovery from drink and drugs for 19 years, including relapses, and have been suffering from mental illness since I was 19, although I am much better now. You are very lucky to have Madonna and your 2 sons and your band and friends. I hope you recover speedily and will get to play St. Paddys day. I wish you all The best of the luck of the Irish. Best wishes..peace, bernard
Dear friends of celtic-rock,
we're happy to announce our new promotion and networking offer 2011.
Our first goal is to make celtic music visible in Germany and so we search contact to bands, promoters and organisers from all over the world. Our new brochure describes our promotion possibilities and direct contacts to our team members who are responsible for magazine, radiostation, video-channel and our diary of events.
Please find the brochure in an English and German version on our website at:
http://www.celtic-rock.de/kontakt/promotion
It would be terribly nice, if you forward this information to other interested people in your business environment.
Hope you enjoy it and don't hesitate to contact us.
Best wishes
Daniel
