    Hektek an International DJ, Producer and Audio Technician from The Bronx, New York started out as a DJ in the mid 1990's playing music at local neighborhood parties throughout the New York City area. He first showcased his talent outside of New York spring of 1997 on a local FM pirate radio station 91.7fm WJHH (Hoodstock Radio) in Miami, Florida. Back in the Bronx, NY Hektek was introduced to Afrika Bambaataa Hip Hop, Electro music pioneer and founder of the Universal Zulu Nation who gave Hektek the opportunity to demonstrate his turntable skills. 1998 would be the beginning of Hektek playing music at various well known nightclubs across the United States, in 1999 touring overseas throughout Europe for the first time earning international exposure from audiences around the globe. 2004 producing songs for Afrika Bambaataa's Album "Dark Matter Moving At The Speed Of Light" (Tommy Boy Records) Bronxmob "The Bronxmob Album" (Blunt Squad Recordings) as well as other local talent. 2005 Hektek could frequently be heard playing all styles of music on "True School Radio Show" CCNY's WHCR 90.3 FM in Harlem, New York Tuesdays 8pm-12am EST, in addition to the "Blunt Squad Radio Show" that streamed live on the internet with over 1000 listeners. 2006 he made a quick appearance in the movie "Fighting" as a gang member chasing Actor Terrence Howard's character out of a bodega. Spring of 2007 Hektek went on tour with his group The Bronxmob to Asia performing at clubs in Tokyo and Saitima, Japan. Going back home continuing working producing more music in the studio. 2010 Hektek returned to FM, internet radio, released several Hip Hop mixtapes online and went on tour overseas to Europe and the U.K spinning records along side the Amen-Ra of Hip Hop Culture. 2011 Hektek made a brief appearance on the hit TV Show "Royal Pains" as a DJ playing music at a party scene. He later went on tour in Europe and the U.S. 2012 has been a very busy year for Hektek being featured as a guest DJ as several events in the New York City area as well as going back to Europe on tour for the first time visiting Hungary, Russia and Luxenborg.
