About me: I HAVE BEEN A DJ FOR 20YEARS. I STARTED OUT DOING PRIVATE PARTIES WITH MY NOW EX-HUSBAND SAM. HE ALSO WORKED A COUPLE DIFFERENT NIGHT CLUBS. I WAS REALLY FASCINATED WITH
THE WHOLE DJ THING. I HUNG OUT FOR ABOUT A YEAR WATCHING AND LISTENING. I REMEMBER ONE NIGHT A FIGHT BROKE OUT IN THE BAR HE WAS WORKING AND HE SAID CAN YOU JUST START THE NEXT RECORD WHILE I GO HELP OUT THE DOORGUYS. I SAID OKAY HE LEFT THE BOOTH,THE SONG HE HAD STARTED RAN OUT I STARTED THE NEXT SONG. BUT NOW THAT SONG WAS READY TO RUN OUT AND HE WASN'T BACK. NOW HANGING OUT AND WATCHING FOR THE LAST YEAR I KNEW HIS MUSIC SET UP SO I PULLED OUT ANOTHER SONG CUED IT UP AND FOR THE NEXT 45MIN I A NONE REAL DJ PLAYED MUSIC. AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT I HAD A FULL FLOOR THE WHOLE TIME (AND YOU REAL DJ'S WILL LOVE THIS) PLAYING ALL 12INCH VERSIONS FROM START TO FINISH, CAUSE MIXING WAS NOT IN THE PICTURE YET NOT EVEN THE SLAMMING PART. FROM THAT NIGHT ON I WAS THE WED. NIGHT NO MIXING JOCK JUST BECAUSE I PLAYED GOOD SONGS. THAT WAS MY PRACTICE SPOT, ALONG WITH DADDYS GARAGE TO LEARN TO BEAT MIX. ABOUT A YEAR LATER I WENT ON A JOB INTERVIEW AND THAT'S WHERE I MET THIS FEMALE HEAD DJ I TOLD HER I WASN'T THE BEST MIXER BUT I'D LIKE THE SLOW NIGHTS. SHE HIRED ME ONE THE SPOT. HER WORDS OH ANOTHER FEMALE JOCK YOUR ON. WHO WAS THIS FEMALE HEAD DJ NONE OTHER THAN DJ LAURA B. AND WE HAVE BEEN FRIENDS EVERSINCE. I HAVE WORKED EVERYTHING FROM SNUGGERY'S SUB AND CITY,ALL DIVISON STREET CLUBS,OPENED EXCALIBUR WITH LAURA B TO THE OLIVERS CHAINS,OPENED LIVING ROOM SCHAUMBURG,THE LODGE AT 4 LAKES IN LISLE,STAR BAR AURORA,HUNTERS,HYDRATE,LIVING ROOM LOMBARD,BAMBOO SCHAUMBURG AND THE LIST GOES ON NOT INCLUDING THE HYATTS FOR NEW YEARS EVE MANY YEARS IN A ROW.
MOTOROLA,MCDONALDS CHRISTMAS PARTIES. MY DJ CAREER TOOK OFF SO BIG AND SO FAST I STILL TO THIS DAY CAN NOT TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED. IT'S STILL A BLURR BUT!!!!!!!!I LOVE MY JOB.!x MY NEXT VENTURE I'D LIKE TO CONQUER REMIXING AND MAKING MY OWN TRACKS!!!!
