DUTCH
In the tradition of such legends as the Notorious BIG and Jay-z, the infamous streets of Brooklyn have once again given birth to another destined be hip hop legend known simply as Dutch. After honing his soon to be dangerous abilities at local talent shows during his teenage years, he would move on to demolishing dozens of mixtapes with an endless array of verbal missiles which earned him a reputation for being one of Fort Greene’s brightest potential stars. The youngest of five children, Dutch’s street wise sensibility is a result of surviving the violent lessons that have become synonymous with the street life. As he puts it “I’ve seen everything from people getting shot to people shooting at people and being right in the middle of it all!!” Be that as it may, Dutch still carries himself with the professional knowledge of the sharpest industry veteran, and mixes that with the poise and style of a New York City hustler.
Even though he has a genius for cranking out vicious speaker shattering joints for the gangsters and hoods alike, Dutch flexes his versatility and charisma by being capable of penning songs for the conscious crowd, as well as for the ladies pushing many to refer to him as a young LL cool J. With influences that range from the legendary Rakim to Jadakiss, and opening for the likes of 50 cent and The Clipse, Dutch has made it his business to put himself in the company of greatness from day one. “I remember having dudes like Eric B. in my crib, I mean I can call out names of real MC’s that I was around even female rappers.” With fierce wit and a magnetic personality that spills onto any speaker or stage he comes in contact with, Dutch is the music industry’s ticking time bomb patiently waiting for the chance to explode on to the scene.
