Their hard graft and relentless promotion of themselves saw them getting a crack at America, when radio stations all across the states are playing your demo you get the feeling they must have been doing something right. Due to this, the demand by the promoters and venues was a loud 'get here now'. The trip, however, did nothing more than invite the Grim Reaper into the FNL camp, two of the band members tragically dying in an RTA with a truck laden with a very famous brand of guitars, the irony of the event was of course noted! ........Steve and Alan felt great pain at the sad loss of their, not only band members, but close friends, their perception was that the band had came to an unnatural and shuddering stop. ........Some people would call it divine intervention, some would call it a sign, the guys called it Two bottles of Jack, a keg of beer and some cider with a laughing monk on the side, oh and of course the infamous bus ride where they ended up in San Sebastian. This gave them their hunger back, maybe not their livers, but the hunger, desire and indeed their overwhelming unashamed addiction to music. They went back to the drawing board. ........The conception of 'Dead in Vegas', an album of mood swings (available via www.cdbaby.com/fnl) saw the band get their first studio album released to rave reviews. ..It was received with great favor in America and Australia and saw the band not just appeal to the European market, but a worldwide market. ........If Steve and Alan are considered to be the Jack Daniels and Marlboro of FNL, then the line up needed its coke and spark in the balls to bring the angry beast to life. That’s where Stuart and Michael come in. With the accomplished pianist Mick rocking the distortion on the love affair he has with his bass, and Stewart bringing the thunder that would awaken Olympus from his sleep the guys are defiantly on the right track. ........Within a few months of the new line up the guys found themselves in the studio recording a new album. With the date to be confirmed, and countless newer songs fighting for inclusion the band have not just honed their sound but have brought to life what it means to be in a rock’n’roll band . ........With this line up anything is possible and may well be proven as the weeks roll on. Already Voted a “band to watch in the future “ on Rock Radio 96.3, and having the new song ‘Lie with me’ picked up by a Record company in America for release in Summer ’10 for a Worldwide Charity CD. The vision of FNL playing at the major venues in 2011 is not beyond them. ........As one thing is for sure, when you have the FNL live experience there is only one thing you will say, “WE WANT MORE” ........The Future for FNL is indeed looking bright!

WE STILL HAVE THIS REVIEW UP , NOW WE KNOW A LOT OF MESSAGES HAVE BEEN SAYING UPDATE, BUT REALLY WOULD YOU TAKE THIS OFF!!! ,....**REVIEW**..Wow, we have a lot of contact with a few guys’ in the states that help us out with promotion, advertising, reviews, bookings etc, we do the same for them over here. They know who they are, saves us having to say thanks! Well anyway, they have been punting the CD around some magazines, fanzines, and Press in America and Canada for us and well we got this review sent to us. Went to press last week in a magazine in Washington State (mike get off your arse and send us the paper we want to frame it). We are very proud of it. So have a read. ........................ .. .. ..SOTLAND REALLY DOES HAVE HARD ROCK……ers!.... A strange thing happened to me the other day, I was sitting in the office, staring out the window, bored, so I decided to do the Music reviews. Now, as you may be aware the feature editor is off on vacation, I picked the short straw!.. There was a surprise in the intray, a package from Scotland. So needless to say, I wondered why it was here, I read the press pack and I thought, nothing unusual apart from different spellings, (when will the Brits realize it’s color!), but still wondered why it was here... The Cd then kicked in, how glad was I they sent it. Well that was Thursday, today is Tuesday, and I have not stopped playing that damn CD. They blew me away, more than the wife ever did..i mean does.i mean...sorry dear! .. So now I better do my job and tell you what they sound like I suppose. Imagine you walk into a Bar and Metallica have just finished playing, AC/DC are the headlining act but you need to wait for Johnny Cash (RIP) to go on, Well FNL are the band that you would expect to see on a bill like that... The guys really are the last thing you would expect from the U.K. The vocals have a deep southern feel that is very reminiscent of early ZZ Top. The guitar however is defiantly from the Angus Young School of rock with a bit of Clapton for good measure. Mix all this together and strangely enough you have a very original sound. The song ‘Tell me’ was a rip roaring tune that had me waving a devil sign in the air, and at times I had to check this was not Iron Maiden. Whereas ‘Time’ and ‘I’ll just wait’ had me wanting to drive down the freeway with the hood down, if only I had a hood, in fact if only I had a car. Although I must admit that ‘I know your name’ and ‘My religion’ had a definite heavier rocker side which made me go for the repeat button. Now personally I don’t think they will take the Charts by storm but if like me you get the chance to check them out, it would defiantly be worth it. The only negative from the experience was that I only got a 7 track sampler of the album 'DEAD IN VEGAS' . So needless to say will need to spend my hard earned (yeh right - ED) $$$ and get the album... Nb. I am back on current affairs next week. (Too right you are. ED) ....We did have A Hitlist of places pleasured by FNL but we have taken this off due to the fact we missed half of them out!!!!

They may not be the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, but what they are bringing to the Worldwide web, myspace, ITunes, MTV, radio driven media is a new slant on what a rock, punk, grunge monster sounds like when mixed with copious amounts of Rum, Whisky, Lager, Coffee, Marlboros...and any other vice the guys can get their hands on, the genre for the music produced by FNL is simply ‘Bastard Rock’, of unknown origin, an original sound.

In the early nineties FNL started hitting the road, some would call it the road to their oblivion...or...taking a ride till the devil smiles, those who are close to the band say music is their reason for being...FNL say...'shut the fuck up, get to the bar, and buy doubles all round'!

Early days of the band saw them rocking any dark, alcohol and sweat ridden venue they could bring their sound too. Their hard graft and relentless promotion of themselves saw them getting a crack at America, when radio stations all across the states are playing your demo you get the feeling they must have been doing something right. This gave them their hunger back, maybe not their livers, but the hunger, desire and indeed their overwhelming unashamed addiction to music. They went back to the drawing board.
