    No license...but at least I was able to free Erik after about 20 frantic minutes. He was red-eyed but otherwise unscathed.

    Lost my driver's license walking 200 ft from class to my car, then strapped Erik into the car seat and proceeded to lock him in the car!!!  All within a 12-hour period of time.  Very stressful!

    Hey. :) If you are free Friday night, you should come out to Keggler's around 8pm. Me, Lauren, Stacey, and Dennis...maybe others, are going to be there. I just found out about it because they invited me from facebook and I rarely get on there. Call me or let me know if you want to go.

    "A strange thing happened yesterday. I left my sister's house with a turd in my trunk. Not just any turd, though, but my own baby turd. I say ‘baby’ because when I saved it from the sloppy deluge of my sister's flooding toilet, I cradled the slimy thing in my bare palm for a good 30 seconds, realizing as I did that it appeared to have a little face. Maybe it was the lighting in my sister’s bathroom that created the curious illusion. But the way the shadows fell upon her there in my hand, I swore I saw what looked like two little eyes, a dent of a nose, and a crooked crease of a mouth; a modest little face that seemed to be smiling up at me."

    I know! a part of me still can't believe we met.
    Tell your son I said hi, I think he got some
    awesomeness from his mother =)
    The trip back was safe but definitely not speedy..
    we somehow managed to turn a 15 hour trip into
    almost 20 hours. By the time we got out of the
    car it felt like we were paralyzed from the waist
    down and I've been sleeping ever since. Even so,
    it was totally worthwhile.

    We should both post the pics we took together :)

    Making stuff pretty and new huh? Can't wait to see the house when I get home! The flight went well. 2.5 hours to DC, 2 hour layover, 14 hours to Tokyo, 3.5 hour layover in Tokyo, 3 hour flight to Okinawa, 1 hour drive to the base. 26 hours and the inside of my eyelids looked great.
